Some BTS photos from various stages of our project. Ideas on display options etc. The early photos show a lot of the electrical tape on the prop (presumably from the show to block light leaks) we removed that tape and we're able to put gaffer tape on the back which worked well. I still need to do more cleaning on the prop. Goo Gone worked well removing the 30 year old electrical tape residue, but it takes a lot of work. Restoring a Trashed Star Trek Control Panel

Updates and studio projects!!!

We've been hard at work mounting our USS Defiant helm control panel. It's been a trial and error process. Mainly errors. We're documenting it all though in addition to what we've released so far. It's a weirdly shaped curved black plexiglass panel that needs strong illumination behind it to make the buttons glow. So figuring out how to do that and make it display nice has been a joy.

Nothing groundbreaking here but since we recently did a somewhat thorough cleaning of the studio, I figured it was a good time to document the current state of this dump when it's not a total mess.

Holy Cow!

Friends! I think Jay mentioned our epic shoot fest with our special guest. We currently have FIVE videos in post now. Make it six if you include our very slow progress on mounting the helm control from the Defiant from DS9. I have a 4'x6' light up LED frame to back light it, but have yet to get it in there properly, etc... too much going on!!!!!! But our guest was hilarious and there's some good stuff coming up. He made a real big impression on us and these will be some soon to be classic bes...

We're filming Best of the Worst episodes two days in a row, as well as an additional video. Would not recommend.

Terminators

Friends! We're having a special guest this week! Don't think that it's Mack because he was just in town. It's not him, he's headed back on the road doing more Home Alone Tour shows.

But was doing some major cleaning and tape arranging and it's kind of amazing the impact the original Terminator had on knock off movies... dear god. And these are just the tip of the iceberg!
