Happy August everyone :)
I hope you are not suffering from the heatwave much and having some nice deserved vacations.
We are gonna start this month with more colorful/foliage/advected thingies and advanced mograph techniques. I think this is the last chapter of this series and we are ready to move to new set of explorations.
Coming soon, breakdown of "Camp Mograph" titles that I was a part of last month!...
Hey hey,
I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far :)
After pyro, follows advection. Its not really possible in all simulation stuff in c4d unfortunately,
but at least I found a way that works stable without issues and we can achieve some nice and art directable results. We also gonna look on how to pass data efficiently from pyro to other aspects of c4d.
I know it gets a little more complex at this point, so as usual, if you have any questions feel free to reach out and...

A series of 17 explainer videos that add up to 2.5hrs of content, of how Nejc put together his two short films for Google Deepmind - Visualising AI.
He explains the initial and creative process behind it and then goes through all of the shots in the film and gives you an overview of how they were made, along with some of his thinking behind it.
It's mostly done in Cinema 4D with Xparticles and Redshift render. There's also a comp / edit overview which was done in After Effect...

Happy July everyone!
Let's talk about pyro + advection. Advection has been my go-to topic from time to time and with the new particle system I enjoy playing in c4d more than ever, as it is all very very fast.
On the other hand, pyro is not a production ready fluid solver by any means. But for some things, design-oriented sims and such, is a very helpful addition.
Uploading way more exciting things, very very soon!
Cheers and stay hydrated!

Hey hey,
In this part of the series I am going to go a little deep into the concept of advection. It is a very common technique for so many things both in motion design and vfx.
In this part I am gonna show you how to fake that in multiple ways with and without dynamics.
On the next part we gonna go crazzyyyy with dynamics. Stay tuned!
Cheers,
T.
Happy summer!
I am very excited and extremely exhausted! We just moved to a new country/house and I still waiting for my workstation. It is so difficult to do all this process from country to country but slowly things start to pick up.
Apologies for being a little disconnected in the last few months. Preparation and everything was a lot for me on top of client work and patreon. But we are back in track with a lot of stuff that cannot wait to share!
In this continuation of "S...
Hey,
Finally found a little free time to explore the new c4d particle system. I do not particularly like it but for a lot of simple things, is great.
To be fair I only fiddled with it a bit, but from the videos I watched online, I am pretty sure I did not miss much on particle's capabilities. On top of that, it's only the first version and many basic features are missing so I expect way more down the line. Lastly I would not recommend using it in production just yet.
But...
Happy month everyone!
Back from FMX and very happy that I met some of you in person! The presentation will go live in a month or so, I will provide all info here.
Continuing our explorations with scattering techniques / octane renders and large scale environment tips. I sidetracked a little here cause I wanted to show you some of my findings (since we started the World Creator loophole). Still relevant with my original project as I used various of these methods to have control i...
Hey everyone!
25th of April I will be honoured to present for OTOY at FMX 2024 in Stuttgart
Along with my buddy Gilles, we will provide tips&tricks about running a one-man-studio with big clients and getting advantage of Octane's unique capabilities.
Do not worry if you are not there in person (like you would worry lol). My talk will be recorded and published later through Otoy's channels for anyone interested.
On that occasion I decided to ad...
I might be at OFFF Barcelona as we speak (and meeting some of you in person!) but I managed to sneak a new tut before flying out.
In this part we gonna talk for spline dynamics (again and again haha) and fully procedural ways of manipulating them + accessing the data inside Octane, which as we know by now can be always a bit messy. I had some interesting discoveries and I wanna thank 0626 for his constant flow of ideas!
I will be back next week, so apologies for delayed replies....
Happy month everyone,
Continuing from where we left I will show you how to recreate the previous explorations in World Creator and how to successfully export and fix all the gotchas in Cinema4D. I ve been doing a lot of RND recently so stay tuned!
Cheers!
T.
In this part we are gonna talk about creating terrains in various ways, fully procedural, in order to have flexibility down the line to change things with no effort.
On another note, you probably noticed that I changed the covers and artworks.
Apologies for this but I had an email from the client and for some weird reason I cannot show the actual products or scenes. Nothing to worry about it though, I will show you everything as planned with different examples.
My take on th...
Welcome to the first part of this series of explorations!
This first part is a generic overview of my daily process and a talk about workflows/industry/rates. Had many questions in DMs and I decided to dedicate a video rambling on how is day to day on motion design studios.
I am sure you have many questions so please hit me up in the comments below
Thanks!

Hey again,
Trying to finish this series and combine some topics with the upcoming Logitech explorations (like grains). In this part, we will discuss about creating procedural fields of flowers both with dynamics and purely mograph.
I think I have one more tut for this series, regarding lighting and compositing and then off to new things.
Have a great week ahead!

For those who did not visit social media today, a new AI video generator tool with the name Sora AI just surfaced and made front page all over the news globally. Everyone is panicking again and motion/vfx industry took one more blow. But is it really this way?
I know AI is no joke. And yes, one day life it self might be redundant: getting a pill instead of dinner? Having sex wearing VR headsets? Machines taking over the world? We all seen the same movies. And I honestly believe the wor...

This one is defo more fun :) Cinema4D procedural flower creation and animation.
Many parts in this series, lots of things to share and always trying to do things up to date with new Cinema4D 2024.2.0
A small note cause a lot of people ask me this:
Be very careful when you change Cinema4D versions and you have dynamics of any sort. Every version for has different range of forces, fields have different behavior, things in general change a lot. To the point of breaking your setups....
Hey hey,
Happy month!
This one is just a technical overview of exporting Alembics from Houdini to Cinema4d. Had to add this in the mix as sometimes there is confusion about this topic to new Houdini users.
Next ones are way more fun I promise :)
Cheers!
T.
And before jumping back to heavy duties tomorrow, let's talk about the flower field shot and how I used both Cinema4D and Houdini to overcome (again) c4d's limitations when working with splines.
We do not have to master Houdini as art directors/designers. It is sufficient to understand basics in my opinion though, cause it really saves the day in so many occasions.
Cheers,
T.
And as promised, the Houdini version of the previous tutorial!
Apologies for the very long length of the video, for confusing my words etc haha Its very hard to explain proper houdini concepts and keep it both for beginners and more advanced users without overexplaining or make it boring
Let me know what you think, I am sure you got a lot of questions, but in the end if I didnt go over every little detail, you can clearly see why Houdini kills it in every aspect and how si...
Happy new year everyone!
I hope all is well with you and your families and you had some downtime to recharge your batteries! 2024 found me sick in bed with fever, maybe covid. Did not bother to check so I am isolating for a bit on my own now :)
Unfortunately this new year finds us with the ongoing wars in Ukraine and Palestine and my deepest sympathies go to all the victims of this madness from both sides. A big reminder of how little our problems are most of the times and how m...
Hey friends!
Back in this time of year and as in every xmas holidays, I decided to push c4d new simulation system by making some themed animations. I will breakdown each shot from sims to rendering. Lots of things happening here and i was really surprised that c4d worked so well in some scenarios.
Havent posted this publicly yet, as I am waiting for some nice sound design on top (the one now is not the final_final_final lol).
Let me know if this looks cool to you and hang in...
Happy December!
Getting ready for holidays?
In this part I am gonna show you how to render macro rope setups and other gotchas as usual.
I also prepared today a nice xmas setup which will breakdown very soon!
Stay tuned!
T.
Hey everyone,
Continuing by expanding on the rope/cloth shot plus showcasing procedural ropes with tension.
Let me know what you think,

Hey everyone!
4 years of Patreon and a little discount for my Octane course.
Very grateful for everyone's support and kind words!
I have started preparing the 2nd course in case you were wondering. It just takes time to create quality content and cover all bases.

Happy month everyone!
Continuing with my personal project and in this tutorial we gonna see how to model/setup the noose and ropes.
Let me know if any questions,
Many thanks!
