Brief update

Some extra family health issues have cropped up that, frankly, have left me in a pretty rough mental space for the last 8 or 9 days now.  As such, as much as I hate missing deadlines, I have to delay the next monthly patron sketch for August.

Safe Rest - Sketch

The 'lonely gnome' returns, this time with a companion traveler, the pair having wandered from the road up a path to a nearby farm, hoping to find at least a safe fenced in area to sleep as a storm approaches.

The gnome reads notches and crude runes carved into the gatepost, left by other travelers to indicate whether this farmstead is safe to stay at, or if they're the kind to start firing crossbows at anything or anyone wandering onto their property at night.

The great halls and churches held records of Vicorria's grandest achievements, from the incense soaked heralds of the Bannered Conquest, to the Wax halls of the arcane ley-lines that presaged the aberration-laced time of madness.

Arctic Springs

Springs in the Snow

I was given kind permission by July's sketch-patron to post the roughs of the sketch I'm currently working on.  The first was more a rough idea that gave way to the second one, which will be inked and finalized.

I'm always quite happy to draw wolves in onsen-settings.  Especially if it also allows me to draw pine-trees (because what obsessive doesn't love inking lots of little needles :D ).

The Baa Conversation - Process

Just a process post for now, the light-blocking/shading worked out fairly well I think.  I like the whole cell-shaded animation feel it has, still, so I figured I'd post the process image before I get down to the long painting process.

A quick update to share the flat colour of the painting I'm working on.  I don't know why, but I liked it enough to share.  Maybe it just reminds me a little of the 'Over the Garden Wall' show in terms of palette.

Back in action

Just a little heads up that I'm finally up and able to do art stuff again.  Ignore the really rough title-image, I just wanted something derpy/cheery to put there.

This cold wrecked me for a good three days, but I've finally had an actual full night of sleep.  Outside of catching up with the 'day work' I want to delve back into this art thing as well.

Couple Days Sick Leave

Hey all.  Just a note confirming that I'll be letting the next person on the patron sketch list know they have a sketch coming in the next week.

Khivesk Citizens concepts

This time around its the full set of some of the concepts I'm roughing out for the citizens of Khivesk.

The Wildfires Chapter
