About this page: Once again I changed the dialog because of the art. As I was rendering, I noticed that Hippo's arm looked like it was bent the wrong way. He could be double jointed, but it still looks weird. Normally, I'd try to redraw the panel. Problem is... we're on a schedule now. So I worked it in to the story. Toph too stronk. I am going to split Toph Heavy Part 3 into 18 page chapters.
I am going to begin uploading pages publicly on Thanksgiving of this year.

I did 90% of the work on this page a few months ago. Today, it was just a matter of cleaning up the rendering. I thought about adding more detail to the ship. However, I redrew that ship months ago, and I know that trying to add more detail would be either an aesthetic blunder or extremely time-consuming. For now, it works, and I'm happy with the parts I need to be happy with. If I reach the end of the comic and feel like I have enough energy to add more, I will.

Super happy with how this turned out. The cel-shade version of this is why I completely changed to a soft shading approach. I really wanted to give Poppy some shine. Who knows. There could even be a Poppy prequel one day.

I hope you like this page. I think of all the pages so far, this one was the most challenging. It took 6 days to render. This page alone has been redrawn 3 or 4 times. I think that's because I'm trying to balance mood, storytelling, humor, and sexyness. I'm largely happy with where it has wound up, even if there are a few rough edges. The most important things are there.

Sorry that this page took so long. The bird took a while (I'm still not happy with it.) and I spent a lot of time refining the first 8 Pages. I'll probably edit this as well if I see anything that needs fixing.
And that's it for this batch. Once again, I'm just gonna start posting the final pages here as I finish them. This coloring method is time-consuming and takes about two to three days at the longest. So if all goes according to plan, expect posts in that kind of an interval.

This page took 3 weeks. Partially because I was mentally paralyzed by real world garbage, but also because I kept redoing "splortch" That bulbous area on the H was supposed to be a baby being expelled. However no matter how many ways I tried I couldn't make it work. It looked super weird.

This part of the plot is kind of why I wanted to release all at once. Toph's infertility is solved by the end of Part 3, but I don't go into what made her infertile in Part 3. That particular mystery will be revealed in Part 4. However, I'm going to give you a minor spoiler....
This isn't Sokka's fault. The Toph in the story doesn't know but Granny Toph (the one telling the story) does know.

So... since Toph Heavy is just coloring right now, I can feel my drawing skill weakening. Drawing is a muscle, if you don't do it, it atrophies. Hey guys. I continue to render a page every day. My schedule has changed from 2 inks, 1 flat, to 1 ink, 1 flat, 1 render. I hope that once the inks are done I'll be able to do 2 flats 1 render, and then just 2 renders. I remain surprised at how long it takes to render these pages. So doing the render of page 14 taught me that if I want to meet my self imposed deadline, I'm going to have to start rendering pages now, and get comfortable enough to render 4 pages a day when the flats are all done.
