QnA 3 - Page 1 & 2 - WIP
12 days of travel and family! Finally HOME.
I'm back, and prettttty zapped. It was a whole lot of socialization. Still, I got a bunch done on the 1st two pages. I haddddd hoped to pencil up way more, but the fam just wouldn't give me space enough to zip away to draw. It's always the case and I just forget.
These pages do feel and come to me pretty quickly; the toughest part atm is that dang tank top. It's so hard to get it consistent and looking right.

I'm like, less than 12 hours to go before I need to start hopping on flights to go do this trip to see family. I'll officially be AFK (with tablet) for like... two weeks. I'll get back in that first September week, and will hopefully have some work to share. I fully intend to be penciling and working on this as I go. I'm SO close to getting you a real update! I want to get my layouts all done for the next post, and I'm still in the stage of tweaking text and finding references as I go. Right now the QnA looks like it's 10 pages... which is still way TOO MANY to layout in a week. But they're all so gooood, so I don't want to trim anything major yet. =/

UPDATE - added a 'sometime later...' to the top of the panel to help with the page transition
UPDATE 2 - 'Cottontail' isn't something Nick says (the weasel calls her that!) and I completely forgot! Fixed it for 'Carrots'. I'm also thinking I might add an empty page with just some icecream sandwiches on it, before this one; to really help the time-and-location shift work better. Hot-dog finally got these done!
Not too much to add to the last post about these. I redrew the faces quite a few times; I think I've learned that I should start avoiding straight-to-camera shots, I just struggle so much with that perspective. 3/4 is the way to go as it's so much more forgiving.
Really happy with the background so far; it'll change a bit when I put it into Photoshop and put my treatment on it, I'm hoping the characters will pop a bit from it.

Finished in the last few Sunday hours!
So much to be proud of here =D From the faces to Judy's body - I feel like I did a pretty good-job! I'll be excited to whip these into the single-panel format for you all, as I think the tight cropping really trimmed out a lot.

Quicky-update, as I felt bad for only having the inks ready on Friday. Here's the flats after a few hours of weekend work.
Looking at it now - I still might fiddle a bit with Nick's shoulders/elbows a bit. The head we chose makes him look a little melted ha. I want him to be curled around our couple a bit - so anything to make him feel thicker in the shoulders will help. Might also finish out Judy's ear's too!

Gosh, this one took a while! Usually after a week, I'd have the flats ready to show at the same time as the inks. But I'm a glutton for punishment and redrew, like... half the faces, multiple times. And you know what? There's a part of me that wants to redraw them again 0_o haha. Just lots of little things bugging me. BUT time to move on!!!
