Aqua Racing engine test

This engine is used in Aqua Racing, but I'm showing Hang On as a base in this demo, using the XGM2 driver. Notably, sometimes the music is out of sync, in addition to some slight slowdowns. There are no collisions and no polishing.

Once I have available a solid demo, I will release it for all Patreon supporters to test.

Engine Test: Into the Darkness

FFMD: Where is the new version at the end of February?

At the end of February, I was supposed to release a new version of Final Fight MD. However, I updated SGDK and started using other numerical patterns, which despite gaining a certain amount of performance, led me to have other collision bugs that I am being forced to fix.

Important announcement about Final Fight MD:

We are currently awaiting a response from a distributor to make Final Fight MD an official game authorized by Capcom.

I will release the version at the end of February with several bugs fixed, but I will not be able to release ROMs with new rounds until we have a definitive answer.

Soon you will discover new games that I am developing for the Mega Drive, which could become a reality thanks to your support.

In the public ROM release, will Patreon supporters have any advantages?

The new ROM to be released soon will have two versions:

FFMD - Video testing full Round 3 (with bugs)

This video shows the complete Round 3 test, but it has some memory leak bugs that still need to be fixed. One of the most noticeable is in the sky at the end of Round 3-3.

Some little changes only:

- Changed the color of Cody's T-shirt to gray.

- Fixed bug that allowed throwing an enemy with a wrong sprite falling vertically inverted.

Here are some differences from the previous release:

- Fixed incorrect score reset when changing stages.

- Fixed Cody's stab speed movement.

- The Hollywood/El Gado aerial stab is no longer invincible.

WIP Demo ROM - Patreon version 2023-08-15

First I apologize for not completing Round 3 and being the same as my previous video. I spent almost a whole week trying to focus on an address leak that caused some instabilities that I finally managed to resolve.

Some considerations need to be taken into account:

- The game still has slowdowns at some points, primarily if you activate 6 enemies on the screen, but even so, it is still much faster compared to the previous release.

A little action to keep the spirits up!

Keeping the flame burning... Finally, after months away, back to retro pleasure in full force.

I'm doing my best to reorganize my personal life and take up my hobby again. This weekend I managed to dedicate almost 8 hours to programming and I was able to finish correcting many things and almost finishing Round 3-1, but it's missing some animations yet. FFMD: No more massive slowdown.

The array scanning algorithm has been converted to pointers (thanks Stef!), and many bug fixes have been made.

I must confess that I'm struggling with the mysterious slowdown that plagues the game. I've tried everything and I still don't understand the cause, and curiously if I start the game in any round, there is no slowdown, especially in the bonus stage.
