Blackwater DnD's: Crystal Heart of Moroz Viek

This is actually a guest item from the Blackwater DnD crew. Really enjoying diving into their world with a take on one of their established items. This comes from their world and I should have 2 more additional items from them in the future!

Really enjoyed this deep dive and I hope you do as well!

Here is the origin from Black Water DnD!

On their way to try to stop a nefarious enemy from causing havoc across the wintry continent of Gar-Yang, Blackwater fough...

Equilibrium Wand: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

Offsetting the Very Rare’s this week with a simple but tactical Uncommon. A combination wand inspired by the ‘Detect Magic’ wand of the SRD. This is geared more towards balance and uses of the good vs evil spells which are often overlooked.

I wish I could share with you how people roll 1d3 (again inspired by the actual uncommon wand) but those old magics are lost to us. The balance of having two spells, albeit one that is far less used than th...

Witch Hunter Glaive: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

Definitely been a while since I was able to dive into a polearm, this skirts the line between Halberd and Glaive so I would be open to either! Adding to the arsenal for an anti-caster, I hope this gets a few of the melee team salivating. Cracking this one for them was a lot of fun.

Pivoting into the anti-caster and crude construction from the items of a fallen really sealed in the angle and expanded. Keeping the damage down, the 1d4 concentration ne...

The 'Ringer' Bracelet: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

This one was a bit more of a curious concept transformed into something more. From a finger cuff to a combination with a bracelet as a focal point for the item itself. I really enjoyed the process of cracking exactly how this one would work. I really enjoyed playing with the colors in this one, but I have a feeling they might be shifting to less vibrant in my next update.

For now! I really hope you enjoy it, and thank you so much for supporting the ...

Life Line: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

Catching back up with the extra Kickstarter additions now on the plate.

A Common Item! With Creation Rules?! While very simple, I hope this becomes a table staple for some of the lower level parties, it is definitely a useful little addition. I wanted parties with minimal magic items to have a small boon option for team work or communication. Let me know what you think and if this ends up working well at your table.

I really have enjoyed somet...

Magical Oddities: Funded on Kickstarter

Greetings All!

I am so very grateful to inform you that my Kickstarter is not only live and fully funded. I didn’t get to share yesterday due the frantic nature, but I wanted to share my thanks.

I would have never been able to do this without you, and I mean that sincerely.

This is what kept me going, and is my main path to being able to share content directly wit...

Marathon Sandals: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

In the throngs of the KS, so weekend updates! Launching the printed decks in under 72 Hours!

‘Gotta go fast.’ was almost the quote of the day, but went with something slightly more historical. These are obviously inspired by one of my favorite spells Longstrider, with two options available on the Patreon.

There was a debate without strong feelings between having this be a constant effect versus a once per day casting. The winner being what...

Bow of Xugoth: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

Finally set aside the hour plus to break this up!

Something fascinating to me about the idea of imprisoning or instilling iconic and amazingly strong creatures, in this case one of the Immortal Aboleth, into an item. What manner of creature is strong enough to warp a creature into a version of itself, distilling its powers into a tool? What created this abomination and font of power.

While this could easily be a cursed item, the idea that the ...

Gemmed Dragon Blade: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

3rd Item of Patreon Week, and I am truly thankful for the pledges. This is a pair mate to yesterday’s ring, and I am quite happy with the little twist it made on the norm. It really was a fun time working in the hints of gem and materials from the ring..

This, like the ring before it, was inspired by a Gem Dragon theme put forward. I really enjoy how it develops both items into a low tier legendary and almost its own subclass. I hope you enjoy it ...

Gemmed Dragon Ring: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

2nd Item of Patreon Week, and I am truly thankful for the pledges. I wanted to do a ring, and a sword, and the editors only encouraged the paired item and theme. Thus a new Item Set was born. While some of the language is still getting knocked about in these, I am quite excited for some more use for Charge Pool and Item Set.

This is subtly inspired by the Gem Dragons of old, while the sword accompanying it is more open. I hope you enjoy it as we are...

Herbalist Sickle: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

A return of the Patreon Week, truly thank you for all that pledge. It has been a rough start to the month for a lot of creator’s out here. I am happy to be able to share something directly with you.  This week is dedicated to the patrons like you that make this all possible as a thank you. You keep me afloat, and I couldn’t be more grateful. The format for this week keeps the statistics for this week limited to publication on that website alone.<...

Thoughts & Prayers: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

This was submitted by patron Zach Williamson! This was very basic in submission with base damage and a loose premise. This had quite a few tweaks to get it to here, though the base damage and premise is still solidly maintained.

These additional tweaks being the charges, effects, activations, and the little addition of Guidance.

Who doesn’t love a little more Guidance. This brings Patreon Submitted week to a close, as with all other items th...

Chest of Bellen: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

This was submitted by patron DM Rob credited to Cody Green. This went through a few minor changes but overall the stylings stayed relatively close to the original. A Chest that can transport between itself and shrink into a smaller object to avoid suspicion.

The only big change was a necklace to a trinket like object.

I really hope you enjoy it and I would love to hear your thoughts and input.

Mace That Won The War: One-Sided.

Greetings All!

This was submitted by my good friend and patron @letswalkhome. They crafted the idea and story behind it, and then the Smiters voted it to life. Based on the idea of a WW1 trench club worked into a dwarven narrative, it is a particularly fearsome weapon.

As a legendary, it has a lot of teeth to it, the patrons submitted the Hold Fast and I evolved the Death Follows. I really like the kind of vibe it ended up invoking.

I really hope you enjoy i...

Feathered Cutlass: Two-Sided.

Greetings All!

… I love this one.  I wanted to give a callback to the odd design of the ‘Dwarven Fire-Starters’ as something that is just outside the norm. It is an updated take, with the stress placed around wind, and I crammed as much as I could in there. You have RP elements, and wiggle room as you see fit without being game breaking.

Can it be abused? Yes, but pretty much anything can and it’s balanced to not be earth shattering even in the hands ...
