Felt Bleh, More Chapters Soon

Just a quick update that my mood went down after the last blog which ended up invalidating some of the plans I mentioned. Good news is I'm feeling a little better and I was able to stretch the Jileng Wen material into two chapters instead of one so I'll post the first of these tomorrow/later today. Still working on the second part and haven't edited the first yet.

Progress Report and Update

Just letting you guys know how things are coming along. As of a moment ago I just added chapter 8 to the $5 advance chapter tier, meaning we're at 5/10 chapters of the first goal but sadly only 5/30 of the way there until I actually start posting the series on scribblehub, webnovel and royal road. Feels so far away and that sucks but at least I'm enjoying the work so far. I hope to have 9 today as well and have the editor check it, but the pace I'm moving at seems to be more or less a chapter...

Jun lay in his bed, the window of his room covered to block out most of the sun and keep the lighting dim, as even the sunlight hurt his eyes. Each day was agony, and no part of his body was spared from it. The only indication time was passing at all was when his meals were fed to him, or when Huifang or a servant would help him relieve himself. I feel bad writing this chapter and this will likely continue going forward. My works have all been pretty lighthearted until now, so this is the first time I've written characters who I'm explicitly intending to kill for the sake of another character's development. Chapters focused on making Jun's sister and father even more likeable so that it hurts the reader more when they're gone is difficult but I'm rising to the challenge and having fun.

Okay, so. I had a weird time last night after getting the first third of the outline done. I was excited and couldn't sleep, and I didn't. Rare bout of insomnia.
