It's not been too long since the last public update, so this sneak peak won't be too long.
You may remember this art from earlier, but previously she hasn't had a role in the game due to her intended battlefield mechanics not being implemented. Soon she will be! She will be unique for her new battlefield ability which allows her to teleport enemy combatants away!

Apologies that it's been a while since the previous sneak peak post. The first week or so following the public 0.2.7 release had a fair few bugfixes that demanded our attention. It also gained a few other smaller but long-requested features like limiting autosave and quicksave slots per campaign.

Last week started off pretty rough due to a bout of Sciatica that kept me (JudooTT, the programmer, lead writer, and the one who runs Patreon) in bed for most of the first few weekday. Thankfully the recovery is going well enough and I'm able to be nearly as productive as before, but apology for delays. We're still aiming on an end-of-August public release if at all possible.

The campaign customization now allows for tweaking of some of the most commonly stated issues that players said they disliked or found too punishing, particularly in the early game. When starting a new game, the sliders above can now be tweaked to change certain variables within ranges.

An idea that's been around (and is fairly common in the tactical RPG genre) is to allow some characters to delay their turn until later in the round when other battlefield factors change, namely positions on the battlefield that have become open. In particular, back-rank battle entities who happened to roll high initiative could be penalized for it and be stuck behind allied lines and unable to do anything for the first round.
