A special peek into this week’s work.

The ocean has been such a deep blue lately. The water has been flush with fishes and sea life. In fact it’s so full of life near the shores lately that we have had larger predators coming very close to the shore.

In the last 2 weeks we have noticed a 12 ft nurse shark, 4 ft nurse shark, 2 giant sting rays, a family of 9 cuttlefish, a gold spotted eel, a beautiful balloon fish, octopus, blue tang, slippery dicks (yes that’s a real fish)...

I’m thrilled to know that I can finally move forward with my project featuring Jean Idelle and Sally Rand. My studio space in Rincon Puerto Rico is undergoing some changes. We’re in the process of renovating the space to be a long term home for the stripping history Museum until we can find a permanent spot here on the island.

A costume from the estate of Dolly

in 2017 I acquired this costume from a vintage dealer and quickly realized they were a multitude of costumes from the same performer. I had heard of the Dolly sisters Rosie and Jenny. These dancing dolls were wildly famous in the 1920’s and 30’s but I had never heard of a solo performer named Dolly.

Through research I came to understand that Dolly was in fact born in 1910 and started in vaudeville in 1918 at the age of eight.

The boa I’m using is a 6ft ostrich feather boa.

There are vegan boa options that are absolutely beautiful and less expensive as well.

TBT : Travis Pastrana's Evil Knievel Tribute

Did anyone watch Travis Pastrana pay homage to Evel Knievel by replicating some of his most famous jumps back in 2018?

I had the opportunity to see it live, and let me tell you was it a sight to see. The most remarkable stunt being the infamous jump over the Caeser's Palace fountain.

Travis and his entire crew were a joy to work with and I loved how excited the kids were while watching.

I I have this marijuana can give me some custom made for me by solstice intimates about 4 years ago and still love it!

They took a classic marijuana set and added fringe and gauntlets and quick release zippers for stage wear.

Well we have been working for some time with Jan from Jan's Restoration and Dry Cleaning in Clio, MI to clean and repair this cape.

The process has been meticulous and amazing! Here are some progress photos along with their technique to age the sequins to match the original.

Yesterday we had a really fun workday. My two week vacation is over and I am back to work now but it was a fun day working in the waterfalls. This little guy came out, we call him Larry. He crawled all over us. He really liked crawling up in everybody’s hair. I’m surprised we actually got him out of our hair without hurting him. But he wouldn’t leave us!
