Bojack's Unfortunate Pattern with Professionalism (Unedited)

Someone in the comments pointed this out to me, and I really didn't notice just how true it actually is. All of his professional relationships end nearly the same way, with only minor differences, and the causes for the breakdowns of these relationships is always the same: fame and greed. I included Flip in this analysis, even though the comment was only about Herb and Kelsey.

It's because I do think this pattern does continue, even if Bojack has NO goals to be friends with Flip. And w...

Is Soldier Boy a Villain? (Unedited)

A fair question, especially after the mixed response when I first called him a villain. Upon analysis, I truly don't think it's fair to call him a complete villain. There is a lot of complexity to this character that adds enough to elevate him to a new class. Is he an anti-hero? I'm not sure that word is best to describe him, either, especially since he faces against the heroes of this series.

Ultimately, while I think he is close to earning the title of "anti-hero", he doesn't quite ma...

Overanalyzing Bojack Horseman: "That's Too Much, Man!"

**SPOILERS** Still NEARLY my favorite episode of the entire show since it came out. The aftereffects of the decisions made from the beginning of this episode can be felt for the rest of the series, including season 6. While it was eclipsed in season 5, I can't deny that this is likely the most important episode of the show, and is a huge turning point for both Bojack and the overall trajectory of this show's overarching plot.

This episode does a fantastic job of diving as far as possibl...

Why Mr. Peanutbutter and Diane Could NEVER Work. (Unedited)

One of the more requested of the Bojack video essays, probably because this relationship is front and center for most of the seasons of the show. And due to that, it does contain a lot of layers and mistakes from both parties. However, one common opinion that I see is one where the audience places the blame on either Diane or Mr. Peanutbutter, when it's really neither of their faults. No one can know what will come of a relationship before they get into it, and when it moves as fast as theirs...

Why I Actually LOVED The House of the Dragon Finale!

Here is the edited version of the essay from last week! Honestly, I felt this one was one of my cleaner ones, anyhow, but either way, I hope you patrons appreciate the full, edited video STILL before Youtube gets it! Our way of thanking you for your support!

The Queen Who Ever Was | House of the Dragon FULL REACTION S2 Ep 8

We know that this isn't a super popular episode among fans, and we knew that going in too...but we kinda ended up loving this episode?

Yes, we totally understand why people are upset and that it might be a tad less exciting than a big battle, but we felt that the emotional payoff and resolution was enough to keep us completely hooked for the entire hour and a half! We were really immersed in this episode, and a couple of the moments truly shocked us- even if it was just talking. And no...

Why I Actually LOVED The House of the Dragon Finale! (Unedited)

Saw a lot of initially negative reactions to this finale, and then Fazli and reacted to it (yes, that full reaction is coming today as well)...and we really enjoyed it. So much so, in fact, that I decided to give it a 10 on IMDb. We genuinely felt that this was an extremely exciting finale that wrapped up most of the storylines that season 2 has been building in an effective way.

So, I decided to make a lil' essay detailing everything I loved about this finale, and why I think it doesn'...

Every Reason Why I LOVE "The Old Sugarman Place"!

An episode of Bojack that nobody is short on talking about, trust me, but I do feel that compared to the more renowned episodes ("Free Churro", "View From Halfway Down") are talked about FAR more than this extremely important episode. Not to mention, the beauty that is "Time's Arrow" would not be possible without this episode to set it up.

There is so much ground covered across the 26 minutes, it is actually astounding. The character work, emotional parallels, and worldbuilding all com...

The Red Sowing | House of the Dragon FULL REACTION S2 Ep 7

This episode was honestly wild. We FINALLY got context for why those random people from King's Landing were being shown to us, and we absolutely love this season's focus on the smallfolk of Westeros and just how effective they can be. We can't wait for the finale- expecting it to be insane with all these dragons around

...we're honestly a little scared.

Thanks for supporting us on Patreon! And yes- we are back to the full reactions including the episode in them for your reference ...

Butcher and Starlight: Two Sides of the Same Coin

Here's the edited version of the essay from last week! Was a little under the weather, so I had to take a small break from recording and editing, but I'll be back at it this week.

Butcher and Starlight: Two Sides of the Same Coin (Unedited)

They toyed with this idea a little bit during late season 2, but I never really forgot about it, always wishing that it would directly come back. And I was ESPECIALLY reminded of this fact after Starlight's path of brutality in season 4. While they definitely don't look or seem it, they are very similar characters.

Even with thier stark difference in upbringing, they have a ruthlessness and instinct of brutality that most of the other "heroes" just don't have. And, even though they en...

Smallfolk | House of the Dragon FULL REACTION S2 Ep 6

So...this episode was unpopular. I mean, we can understand why, but honestly...we still enjoyed it. We felt that there was enough momentum to sustain the threads planted in the last few episodes, specifically taking time to sort out what dragons are going where. There's a lot of pieces in place for the final confrontation, and I hope that all this buildup will mean that it is the climax we've been hoping for.

Nonetheless, still a very solid episode! Great performances all around, especi...

How the Boys Season 4 Proved Everyone Wrong.

Lots of complaints about this season so far, but after the finale, I hope everyone realizes that the scenes building up our characters and assisting in transforming them aided in making this finale just as amazing as it was! I mean I could not breathe for the better part of the hour, and every scene had at least one moment leaving my mouth agape. I won't spoil anything, obviously, in case you haven't seen it, but...wow. Wow wow wow.

Mr. Peanutbutter's Relationships: The Need to Fit In

The edited version of the messy, MESSY Mr. Peanubutter essay I posted earlier today. Hope this one makes my point a little better (on account of being coherent).

Mr. Peanutbutter really did need other's approval, but I'm really glad he was able to move past this by the end of the series.

Mr. Peanutbutter’s Relationships: The Need to Fit In (Unedited)

Mr. Peanutbutter has the probably the most relationships out of anyone in the main cast, and all of them progress to, at the very least, engaged status. But why is he so eager to jump into dating over and over again? And, beyond that, why are his wives so VASTLY different people, both when they started dating and after they broke up? Find out why in this (unedited) video essay!

I think that we can all agree that Mr. Peanutbutter likes to be liked. But, honestly, I think his internal ne...

Regent | House of the Dragon FULL REACTION S2 Ep 5

Not a very momentous episode, but definitely an important one! We were excited to see the reaction of Alicent and other non-present characters about what happened in the battle, and they did not disappoint. Olivia Cooke was fantastic this episode, as the regency was taken away from her. Aemond ascending to the throne is a total nightmare, even if it seems Aegon will survive. While Aegon's incompetent, Aemond is actually scary. Wouldn't be excited to be in King's Landing at this time.

What an incredible episode...I mean far and AWAY their best episode of the series yet. We were on the edge of our seats the entire time, and it ended in the worst possible way! Not only that, but the main battle was an absolute cluster-you-know-what. Even though we predicted a lot of the spare parts, we had no idea how would it all come together. Such great setup for this amazing climax!

Why Bojack and Todd Were Never Really Friends. (Unedited)

A bit of a bold statement, I know, but I never really felt like their time pre-season 3 was actually built off of a mutual interest and the fact that they had a good time together. They never really hung out, it was more just Todd being generally "around". In fact, most of their relationship was built off of circumstance entirely on both parts. Todd needed a place to live, and Bojack needed to avoid loneliness. That's why it's not surprising Todd couldn't keep Bojack in his life after his man...

The Red Dragon and the Gold | House of the Dragon FULL Reaction S2 Ep 4

Wow. Just wow. We had a feeling this episode was going to be a momentous one, and it DEFINITELY was. The details for both the fighting of the dragons in the air, how they were able to scratch and claw at each other and use their weight to their advantage, as well as the relationship between the riders and their dragon was incredible. You could feel the connection between Meleys and Rhaenys. They both knew that their end was coming, and both decided to continue fighting. Brave and honorable. W...

We Need to Be Nicer to Erin Moriarty. (Unedited)

I was honestly so confused when I first saw this discussion. Sure, there are those before and after pictures everyone likes to use, but I followed her on Instagram and noticed no sort of difference in her appearance. I suppose that part is up for conjecture. But either way, it's STILL confusing why people are spending so much time discussing her, when it is none of their business at all! Not to mention, as you can see in this thumbnail, she really doesn't look that different AT ALL. Like I am...

A slower, plot-building episode, but still filled with incredibly thoughtful and exciting moments! We loved to see Rhaenyra yearn for peace despite all the men around her screaming for war to begin with dragons burning down armies. And we ESPECIALLY loved that she went to Alicent directly, and they were able to finally understand each other. I mean...war isn't over (not even close), but it helps for me to know that this underlying relationship is not damaged beyond repair. Rhaenyra understand...

Bojack and Princess Carolyn: The "Best Thing That Ever Happened" (Unedited)

These two always had the most interesting relationship out of the main cast (in my opinion), so I was overjoyed that they were able to sustain what they had until the end of the series. The fact that they were able to stay friends despite everything that they went through is actually incredibly impressive. They started extremely codependent on one another, with Princess Carolyn always feeling the need to save Bojack, and Bojack enabling her by always searching for her help.

But, by the...

House of the Dragon FULL Reaction (2x2) - "Rhaenyra the Cruel"

What a way to continue this trend of revenge between these two houses. We were very glad to see Rhaenyra put Daemon in his place, and Otto putting Aegon in his. Like we say in this video, there was a lot of genuinely endearing moments to characters we don't normally root for. They're doing a great job this season of piling the injustice up against both sides so that you can really understand every character, even ones that I'm pretty sure no one likes...like Aegon.
