Listless
So Vasen really hate these things for some reason. Some religious thing. You won't be seeing any of Stahl's comments on this one, he bowed out because of that. Ah well, I don't blame the guy. We all got our demons.
So the Listless are kind of like Woodwicks, but they're Vasen shaped. They drip tree sap everywhere from their necks as they walk, and the second it hits the groun...

Kokeshi
Man, the nuts on this thing would make a Kinstal jealous. Not that I am, of course, I'm packing way more heat. It's kind of weird that they have parts anyway, they don't exactly bump uglies. These things just kind of walk around and live to be creepy. They don't eat or drink either, they just stare at you. And make fake noises at you.
So typically, getting trampled by one of ...

Mycolith
These poor guys need to get more sleep! Their eyes look about to fall out their heads.
Mycoliths are some kinda living mushroom? Apparently some mage down in Maripol made them as a solution to their village's food shortage, but he's gone missing and these things have gone out of control, so I guess it didn't really work out.
Mycoliths are pretty...

Croakers
Man, I hate these things. Pallidoads at least look sort of like a person, but these are just WEIRD. Almost look like they belong on another planet. Anyway, Croakers are some kind of monster that like to live in trees. They can't live outside of moist places, so keep watch for them in jungles and swamps.
Croakers are already dangerous by themselves, but even without getting c...

Mimic Rat
Yikes. Everybody hates these things, everybody knows them. It's almost redundant to include them, but since this manual is, as Stahl says, "comprehensive," I gotta do my due diligence and make sure it's all written down for posterity.
Mimic Rats look like Needlemice, 'cept they aren't. Funny how that works, eh? I don't know why they look like Needlemice, but it sure is annoying. They're bo...

Sackcloth
Okay so. I get it. I get they're scary.
DON'T talk about the Sackcloth.
Boy, how do I talk about something I can't talk about? Well, I guess I should try to be that thing Stahl always says. Obtuse, right?
Don't talk about the thing, it knows. Don't look at the thing, it'll see you. Don't listen to the thing, it's a liar. Problem solved.
Stahl'...

Beeper
Beepers beep. Very simple. They come in two flavours, large and not large. Large Beepers are four metres tall and very strong. Little Beepers are two metres tall, and still just as strong, if not stronger. I know it doesn't make sense, but keep it in mind.
Beepers are dangerous, don't get me wrong, but... it's really hard to MAKE them dangerous. They mainly just sorta do their own thing. God ...

Festerwort
Man these things stink something fierce. They're named after the plant they love eating the most, which is stupid in my opinion. Festerworts eat Festerwort because Festerwort is the Festerwort's favourite food. It sounds ridiculous, right? Like saying bowl a buncha times.
So Festerworts are a mushroom creature about the size of a small child. They're omnivorous, but they mainly eat bushes...

Riggan knew better than to let Carvy drag him into making merry again. At least, his mind did; forsaken by the third mug his hands tilted into his mouth. He wasn't quite sure how Carvy always made his senses leave him, but it kept happening nonetheless.
From the first time they'd met thirteen years ago they'd been inseperable. One adventure too far, too many nights out in the wilds. They'd had each other's back through the absolute worst encounters. Which in full honesty was fine by R...

The Vasen are a species born with magic crystals embedded in their bodies, that grow along with their age and their strength. The crystals manifest as large stones in the forehead, horns or as large, shockingly mobile tubes that grow out of their ribcage along their sides.
They have the highest score of natural Rush, so they can spend all day casting spells, but as a tradeoff, theyre quite physically frail and dont put on muscle easily.

Schute
Finally we get to something good! Schutes are mainly harmless. I mean, they're as big as four Nalanjos, and they're as dangerous as any wild animal, but they're not ACTIVELY evil like some of the other critters in this guide. AND they happen to be absolutely delicious!
Schutes are giant crustaceans that live in the desert. That makes it a bit of a hassle to actually GET one, but oh boy is it worth it. A...

Rook
"Hoo boy, story time. So when I was a little pup and my family was caravanning the road between Maripol and Delbuk, we went up through the mountains. And we ran into one of these things. I had no idea what it was at the time, but all the adults kept muttering "Rook" under their breath and it seemed as good a name as any.
This thing walked beside us the whole way through the mountains, and I mean WALKED. This fo...

The Brawler embodies the "Spirit of Equity" and in all situations does everything within their power to ensure things are fair. At least, from their perspective. Might makes right, and theyre here to fight for what's right as long as theyre paid well. They'll do any job, no matter how tough, nor how debased, nor how dangerous.
Using the Spirit of Equity, Brawlers have access to the Scales of Warfare, a passive effect that is constantly active.
