Beyond20 v2.6.1 released

Hi!

I've just released another update to Beyond20. It is now available in the Chrome and Firefox stores. See below for the changelog and release notes!

Enjoy!

Hi everyone! It’s time for another release already.
This update is a bugfix release, which we felt needed to be out sooner rather than later considering some of the bugs that popped up recently. It doesn’t add much in terms of new features, but there’s plenty of bugs to...

Beyond20 v2.6.0 release!

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!!!

I've just released the 2.6.0 version of Beyond20 and the update has been approved and already available in the Chrome and FireFox stores!

This update keeps on polishing the extension, adding some much anticipated features and bugfixes, with the most important one being Foundry v9 compatibility.

I have also released the 1.4.0 update to the Beyond20 companion module which adds support for chat damage buttons as well as an experimental su...

Thank you all!

Hi everybody!

While I don't celebrate Thanksgiving (it was in October over here in Canada), this week is still a time to be thankful and so, I wanted to thank every one of you for your continued support and love. It really means the world to me to see so many of you show your support and generosity to a developer like me.

I also wanted to do a little status update on my projects, as I'm mostly silent and I know some of you would like to know more about where things are at. I will ...

I also have a few other news that I want to share with you all, but I'll do so in the next few weeks as separate posts! In the meantime, you can check my recent Forge developer updates to see what I've been up to.

Beyond20 releases!

Hello everybody!

What a week, wow!

As mentioned in my last status update, I was planning on releasing Beyond20 within "the next couple of days", and I did! I actually released Beyond20 v2.4.2 on June 1st, yeay! 🥳

However, as I was planning on writing about it here the following day, we got reports of a critical issue that forced me to go back in there and fix and test and re...

Status Update

Hello everyone!

I don't like spamming, so I try to keep this Patreon a low activity one, so I generally only update you all about big releases, but I also haven't posted anything in a little while so I wanted to post a little status update to summarize all the stuff I've been up to and things that are in the pipeline.

Let's see if I can manage it without this post also becoming another Chinese...

R20Converter 0.10.x release

Hello everyone!

I promised myself I'd release an update to R20Converter before the end of the month, and I'm happy to say that I have done it!

There isn't much in it in terms of new features, but it finally upgrades the database format to the latest 0.7.9 core Foundry format, as well as updates the dnd5e format to the latest 1.2.4 release, which fixes the actor movement issues people were having since the 1.2.0 release of dnd5e.

There's a few other fixes and improvements, an...

State of the KaKaRoTo 2020

Hello all Patrons and Patronesses!

This is my first "State of the KaKaRoTo" type post, and I think I'll start doing one every year, as a way to catch you all up on the year that just went by and the plans for the year to come. It is inspired by Brandon Sanderson's own similar yearly post, and I think that's a format that would work well for me considering my numerous projects and the wa...

A little gift for you

Happy belated Koloss Head-Munching day!

For those who don't know, Koloss Head-Munching day is what we call Brandon Sanderson's birthday, and it's mostly important because that's when he releases his State of the Sanderson blog post where he shares his updates on the year that passed and the plans for the year to come.

Brandon Sanderson is my favorite author, and he's the one that ...

Module updates and two new releases!

Hi everyone!

With the 0.7.5 release imminent and about to drop on the stable branch, I 've gone through my modules and updated them yesterday to be 0.7.x compatible. There were a couple of issues with Permission Viewer and Furnace particularly, but now they should be good and ready for the stable 0.7.5 release! See full changelog for Permission Viewer, Furnace, PopOut!, LMRTFY and Polylgot below.

Beyond20 v2.2 (and v2.2.1) now available!

Update: I've just released v2.2.1 which fixes some critical bugs that sneaked past me in yesterday's v2.2 release. This article was updated to include the release notes and changelog of the new version.

Hey everyone,

I've just released the v2.2 version of Beyond20. It's already available for Firefox and on the Chrome store.

I'm really happy about this release, as I've been stressing over it for a while and now I can rest a little bit from Beyond20 and ...

Another R20Converter update

Hi everyone,

I'm releasing another small update to R20converter.

Other than a few small bugfixes that went into this since the 0.9 release from last month, (which I had updated in the original post a couple of times), this one has a fix for a more recent bug which was reported to me: the "export actor items" option was broken.

So now, you can export your actor items and it should work, yeay.

The most important thing about this release though (enough to warrant its own ...

A little update

Hi everyone,

Long time no speak!

I wanted to update you a little on the progress I've had in the last month with regards to my various projects.

Here's a mix of the various things I can think of at the moment (Doing it bullet point style to prevent myself from ranting for too long) :

- Popout module v0.9.1 received a big update in the last couple of days. This update was practically a full redesign of the whole way popout worked, and it was entir...

R20Converter v0.9 released!

Finally! An update to R20Converter! Wooooooooooo

This one was both fun to make and extremely frustrating. Two new big features here, the first one is the all new fancy UI that I am so happy and proud of! I also updated the video demo, which showcases the new UI (at 3:20)

The second big thing is the Mac build. That was the frustrating part, and it made me not want to touch a keyboard ever again in my life. B...

Beyond20 v2.1 and v2.1.1 released

Hey everyone,

I've released Beyond20 v2.1 a few days ago (on July 8th) and I've just released Beyond20 v2.1.1 today (3 days later). This is the fastest release I've made since the early days (May 2019) where it was a release every day (and even multiple releases in a single day). I felt that I needed to make this release to fix some critical bugs that were introduced in v2.1, but it also adds a pretty cool experimental new feature for Roll20 users: Comb...

Release Party!

Good bye dear patrons!

I have some great news. You can now subscribe to The Forge directly from the website using a credit card.

As Foundry releases tomorrow (Congratulations Atropos!!!!!), this marks the end of the "beta phase" of The Forge as well, as things have been very stable for quite some time now, and the plan was always to be out of beta by the time Foundry is out. I just thought I'd be done sooner and that I'd have done a lot more by now!

Projects' updates and a contest!

Hey everyone!

An update is long overdue considering how fast things have been changing lately. I do my best to keep everyone informed of what is going on with my various projects but I also try to avoid spamming you all with an email update every few days.

I'm trying to break my habit, so instead of starting with a long post, here are the cliff notes of what you need to know :

Forge VTT new servers are now online

Wow, that took longer than expected! But, finally, the new Forge servers are online and available to use for new users, You can expect in the coming days to have your own games migrated automatically to the new servers.

I was hoping to get this done before March 31st, but look at that, a month later and I finally got it working the way I want it to.  There's still more work to be done, but now I can move on from the small server I had for beta testing ...

Beyond20 v1.1 is out

Already another Beyond20 update!

Many people in recent days have come seeking help as their extension stopped working. D&D Beyond have been updating some users to the new version of their character sheet which broke Beyond20, but no need to worry, it's all fixed now :)

This release is mainly meant to fix those problems, as well as adds a couple of interesting features and bugfixes.

Triggers, triggers everywhere!

Hey everyone,

As you all know, I've been working a lot lately on The Forge, and unfortunately, on top of it being very tiring, it's also difficult mentally to stay focused on a singular purpose. I've taken the time to work on something else, and I'm announcing its release to you today.

Patreon

Let's start by mentioning something important. I've recently surpassed the 250th patreon subscriber and reached the threshold of 1000$/month revenue on Patreon. Wow! View Post

Note: There's an important announcement at the end with regards to The Forge, so if you tend to skip my posts, at least read that (about an upcoming temporary disruption of service).

Update: Check out VTTAssets's giveaway. I'm offering a year subscription to The Forge for one winner! :)
