SergioLoro 60's Norisring Texture Revamp Preview

Hello everyone,

Bit of a quiet week, but fear not! Great goodies are on the way!

Today I finally completed my long planned 60's Norisring texture revamp. Not much visual materials for referencing are available online, resulting in a lot of time spent digging for any and every historical photo out there.

The resulting retexture might be among my finest work for track textures yet! Every advert has been redone, the braking signs also got a refresh and some of the brightest co...

SCCA National Tucson 1966 - Alfa Romeo TZ #80

For BrianB's excellent TZ1 mod.

Nadeene Brengle was one of the many women who picked up the "men's sports" of racing, and found great success with it. She ran various cars in her lively career, but mostly enjoyed Alfa Romeos. She owned a Giulietta Spider (nicknamed Gertie) and this TZ, which she named "Tizzie".

"Tizzie" took Nadeene all the way to the ARRC of 1966 with a very high finish in the C Production class. Nadeene Brengle passed away sometime in the early 2000s.

Monza "BP World Record Runs" 1967 - Porsche 906E

For the WSC60s Porsche 906.

A non-racing livery for a racing car, who would've thought?

In 1967, a Porsche 906E, specifically prepared for the attempt, achieved six world records at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Italy. The car, supported by BP and Firestone, was driven by Swiss drivers Jo Siffert, Dieter Spoerry, future Porsche works manager Rico Steinemann and Charles Vögele. The records were set in FIA category A, group 1, class 7.

The 906E was ...

Daily Mail Race of Champions 1968 - Matra MS10 #15

For the Legion Matra MS10, available on his website.

To break up the flow of things, an F1 livery. This one is Stewart's Matra as it ran the 1968 Daily Mail Race of Champions, a non championship F1 race won by Bruce McLaren. Stewart initially started on 3rd position but fell behind to a 6th place finish.

The car has wings in CM showroom, but these have been removed ingame via a ext_config. The rims are also way too dark, it seems the texture is bugged.

Pasta's Biweekly Rambles - Big Bird

Hello everyone,

It recently came to my attention that mr Legion, the man with no name, has uploaded my old Nissan R381 for everyone to enjoy. This is not something I oppose, as the original version is still in a totally unfinished state (intentionally) at a disgruntled ex boss' company. At least now it is available for everyone to enjoy, which was the whole point of the JGT project I set out on in 2021. So feel free to download it, give it a spin, or just look at it.

Brands Hatch BOAC 1000 1971 - Chevron B16 #22

For Legion's Chevron B16 FVC.

The Chevron B16 is arguably the prettiest Chevron ever built by Derek Bennett. The seductive body, curves everywhere and not a single truly flat surface make this a dream to gawk at.

Paired with the FVC engine, while only 1.8L, was more than competitive enough to compete and beat the many 2L sports cars from the prior decade. This one, entered by Red Rose Racing (in a non blue livery for the first time) and driven by Ken Walker & John Bridges to 1...

Pasta's Biweekly Rambles - Alan Mann Mistakes

Hello everyone,

Guess who realized, after over a year, all of his Alan Mann Racing liveries had the wrong shade of red? You guessed it, me!

The REAL cars had a very unique, almost orangey red base colour, as proven by several period photographs. My old AMR liveries had the red based on a restored example. Can't trust those car restorers nowadays! Anyway, I'll gradually rework all the AMR liveries and add a couple new ones over the course of the summer. Expect to see a big patch fo...

Daytona 2000km Continental 1965 - Lotus Cortina #87

For the TCL Cortina, obviously. Previously released in the Cortina historic skinpack, reworked a little for this release.

The invincible Cortina entered its 3rd season at the top of saloon car racing by 1965, with a new threat looming from Italy in the form of the Alfa Romeo GTA, but not yet having officially arrived. The Cortinas would continue to mop up 1.6L touring car class honors and in some cases outright race wins.

Such was NOT the case at the Daytona Continental, an endura...

Oulton Park 100 Mile Spring Cup 1968 - Ferrari Dino 206S #64

For the WSC60s Ferrari 206S.

Tony Dean owned many different cars, ranging from Porsches to Fords, Chevrons to Ferraris, you name it. Perhaps his most successful sports car was his 206S Dino (004), in which he won his 4 races in a row with the car.

At the 1968 Oulton Park 100 Miles, he originally entered the 206S for himself, though switched to his 906 (131) last minute, with Peter Gethin driving the Dino instead. Gethin finished 3rd overall in the Dino.

Spa 500km 1965 - Alfa Romeo TZ #50

For Brian B's excellent Alfa Romeo TZ mod.

Uniquely coloured cars are always fun to make, especially those from an era known for not having too many different colours on racing cars.

AR750036 originally raced in the hands of Equipe Belge, with Gustave Gosselin, later going to various collectors and being maintained fairly well throughout the next 6 decades. At the Spa 500km, Gosselin raced it to 12th place outright. The livery comes with a custom config to remove the extra lights,...

Monza 1000km 1967 - Porsche 904/4 GTS #49

For my GTC60s Porsche 904/4 GTS, available here on my Patreon.

The 904 was a game changing sportscar for Porsche, instantly becoming a champion in the 2L WSC class and winning many, many races either outright or in their class.

As a result, the 904 often kept racing long past its originally intended expiry date, such as at the 1967 Monza 1000km. While the 906 was already succeeded by the 910, Turillo Barbuscia ran his 904 in the race without a care in the world. Turns out this was...

For my recently updated Ford Anglia 105E Broadspeed mod.

There's a more substantial update coming soon, with new colliders, new lights, working blinkers, revised dash texture and more liveries. Here's an early look at one of the new liveries.

Anita Taylor ran a wimbledon white Anglia 105E prepared by Broadspeed in 1966, detailed with gold side stripes a-la Cortina and even go faster stripes taken from the contemporary Ford GT40! I wonder which of the three is quicker. This is a di...

Bahamas Speed Week 1966 - Ferrari 365 P2 Drogo #44

Reworked livery for the WSC60s Ferrari 365 P2 Spyder.

This car has quite a sad story to it, formerly owned by Scuderia Filipinetti who only raced it successfully once at Le Mans in 1966. Following a string of non arrivals or non starts, the car was sold to Venezuelan rich racer Rodrigo Borjes Zingg, who intended to race it internationally. He was warned by friends and family about the car, as it was his first big engine sports car - this one especially not being beginner friendly. Unde...

Speedworld International Trophy Oulton Park 1968 - Lola T70 MK3 GT #49

For the WSC60's Lola T70 MK3 GT.

One of racing's most famed paint schemes; Bonnier's cars were always easy to spot. That is, when it wasn't hampered by accident damage. Having crashed his T70 not long ago, Bonnier borrowed the bonnet off of another T70 and simply swapped it onto his, resulting in an interesting livery.

Entered in the Speedworld International Trophy at Oulton Park, Bonnier finished 2nd overall. He would crash out the T70 once more in a following race.

For the GTC Shelby GT350R. Previously released in the GT350 historic skin pack on RD.

Probably the most uniquely coloured GT350R to have raced in its first season of competition! Bob Johnson repainted his R code GT350 in silver with reddish-orangey (whatever it's called) striping, despite Shelby's order to keep all R's painted white with blue stripes for marketing purposes. So a while back I decided to go and make an as complete as possible livery set for the iconic 1966 Nürburgring 1000km. I got quite far, doing every 906 that raced and almost every GT40. And then I woke up from a fever dream-like state and realised; does it really matter?

Bazza will be developing the 1.5L version, while the 1.3, 1.1 and 1.0L versions will be handled by us. He ran cars in F1 from 1966 to 1968, but also ran sports cars in far more events. At the 1966 Zeltweg 500km, he entered his 250LM with David Hobbs driving, sadly retiring early due to overheating issues.

Keen eyed followers may have noticed that this livery was, in theory, already included with the pack. However, this upload is a completely reworked version of the livery.

Basically, the original #8 and #9 Bizzarrini pairing were the very first liveries I painted for Bazza way back in 2021, when I was still clueless about a lot of the techniques required to beautify the paints. I saw a short clip of SROL's Mont Tremblant 250km race, wherein t...
