   I love how intimate some of these images feel. Especially the second and third photo. I don't think I've ever shot myself so close up. It's funny how even when I'm alone and shooting myself, and not even fully nude, I can feel so exposed and vulnerable.

Sneak Peak - Your body is light

   A little sneak peak of more upcoming work with my favorite lamp and mirror. I've been experimenting and focusing a lot on lighting my sets properly and playing in darker more intimate environments. I usually rely on natural sunlight, but I really love the dynamic range of emotion that I can play with using minimal light and how it pushes me to improve my skills as a photographer and self portrait artist.

   Another set from my recent Spring collab with Randy. As soon as I saw this skirt, I knew I wanted to shoot in it. I felt like a ballerina- so feminine and graceful. Rebirth

   This photo is from my last roll with the doubles from my last post, but I thought it deserved it's own post. I'm so fucking proud of this photo. It's definitely one of my favorite double exposures and self ports that I've ever taken. I actually cried when I saw it for the first time- because of what the photo itself represents to me, but also because I executed my concept so perfectly, that it turned out even better than I had hoped.

Some double exposures from my last roll. I'm really fascinated with the composition of the first one. I love how I can capture more than one emotion in the same image- sometimes even very contradictory emotions. I love how doubles express the complexity of human emotion.

Wildflowers on film - Part 1

Wildflowers are everywhere right now, and I'm in heaven. They're so unique and delicate, and the array of colors just makes my heart happy. This is the first bouquet that I picked this season. I had originally hoped to shoot this set in color as well, but the battery in my Pentax K1000 died. Both of my main cameras have built in light meters and I don't have a backup so I had to wait for a new battery to shoot my roll of color. But, I did! Spring Collab - Part 1

Excited to share my first collab of the year! I shot these over the weekend with a photographer I've worked with twice before (Risen and Light & Motion sets) and really vibe with and have similar artistic concepts. Lace & Light

Just a little set on one of those days where the end of day light catches my eye. I don't really have anything planned other than to capture the light on myself and see how it moves me. A weekend in the woods - Part 4

Old set that I was in the mood to post. From one of the many weekend adventures with my good friend Eric. We met up yesterday for lunch, a bike ride, and some crystal shopping. At the end of the day, I felt so happy, grateful, and fulfilled. It’s always a beautiful reminder to me to surround yourself with those who bring out the true beauty of life and make it safe for you to be completely unapologetically authentic. Spring blossoms & Doubles

You know how much I love my flower doubles, so I was really excited when all the spring blossoms popped up!! These are a few of my favorites from my last couple of rolls. As obsessed with B&W as I am, I fall in love with Portra and its tones every time I shoot it. All of these photos are completely unedited except for the last image, which I darkened just slightly. I just absolutely love how rich and warm the colors are. Hidden

From my last couple of rolls and part of another series expressing and capturing my own internal struggles with being a woman, being a human, self reflection, self discovery, soul healing, remaining authentic, and honoring vulnerability and every moment of the process. And through it all, learning to let myself be truly seen.

Shadows that bring forth the light

This is a recent set that I shot with my Pentax LX on Kodak TriX 400. If you know my shooting style, you already know that I’m a sucker for morning light, shadow play, and flowers. I love the first image and how the light suddenly transforms into the shadows and how the transition seems to happen so organically.
