My final trick this Halloween 😈😈😈 Demon Ames level complete!
The Shining turned out to be the perfect double feature alongside The VVitch—or a Friday night horror treat! It did not disappoint!
While I wasn’t quite scared to bits like some of my friends who watched it as kids or teens, I was totally captivated by every detail. Now I want to watch all the documentaries and know all the conspiracy theories I’ve only heard whispers about.

We had so many amazing polls this month and nominations soo thank you so much for being part of this! Even if your not into spooky season! I appreciate all your support here this month!

When Evil Lurks (2023) is a new horror gem that came out recently, and while it didn’t top the poll, I think it’s because possibly not many of you have seen it yet. But if you’re a horror enthusiast, then this one is a must-watch—though definitely not for the faint of heart.
🚨Spoiler-ish Movie Context Warning🚨
it’s packed with intense and gruesome scenes, and some involve children, so if that’s not your thing, you might want to pass. But if you’re up for it, ...

Never seen more creepy-ass smiles in my life than in this movie! It totally surprised me—it was such a fun, wild ride! I loved the eerie vibe they created and loved the colour tone of the film along with the colours in the set design, which made everything feel unsettling in the best way. The whole curse element was done so well, and it actually had some deeper meaning, which was cool.
The story kept me guessing the whole time with its twists and mind games, and they used some clever...

So many 80's slashers I need to watch! This one was on a list I found I thought would be interesting. And it sure was. The real horror in this was the short shorts!
I had a lot of laughs and my dyslexia got me in the end. You'll know when you hear it lol.

I really couldn't help myself because, well, I love horror movies!
Monday - Sleepaway Camp (1983) I found this movie on a list of the best '80s slashers that didn't get a sequel! I was going to do a poll from that list, but this one caught my eye, so I chose it! I'm glad I did! It’s such a unique film, and honestly, I had a lot of laughs. A fun way to kick off the last week of Spooktober!
Also, I will be jumping on a LIVE ...

Happy Friday!
I hope everyone has had a great week and is ready to unwind with this fun reaction! I apologize for all my giggles. You will see why in a moment
🚨🚨some spoilers below🚨🚨
I had no idea this was a Stephen King adaptation and a Brian De Palma film! That combo alone makes it intriguing, but what really stuck with me in the hours and days after watching Carrie was how smart and layered the story is. Sure, some parts feel a bit over the top when...

Here it is! The winner of the "Your #1 Movie Pick" poll, and wow, it did not disappoint! I’m so glad I remembered correctly and had never seen this one before.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I didn’t expect it to be such a heartfelt family movie with some seriously emotional moments. I was totally invested in the story and the characters. Especially the hot mama! And those jump scares? Got me when I wasn’t expecting them!
I know Spielberg ...

Well, well, well. Gentle spoilers below!🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
Going into this one I had no idea what it was about. I don't want to spoil it for people who haven't seen this. I was so pleasantly surprised by this story! I was not expecting it to be what it was. So for me, that was a bonus. I think this is a fantastic art film, with a fascinating coming-of-age story which was so outta left field for me, yet so up my alley.
If this is your first viewing or if you have seen...

Hey Everyone!
Here is the winner of the Pre-1970 Horror Movie Poll! 🧟🧟♀️🧟♂️🧟🧟♀️🧟♂️
Let me tell y'all! I loved this movie! Night of the Living Dead (1968) has this raw, gritty feel that totally pulled me in. The black-and-white cinematography adds so much to the atmosphere—it’s eerie and claustrophobic in the best way. It also made the makeup so amazing. I was really impressed with how it builds tension, especially for...

Hey Everyone! Happy Monday and Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends out there!!! No more perfect movie for today than this one! Yes, I finally had to get this watched! It was fun, mind you I haven't seen all the X-Men movies or read the comics in years! But, this was so good for some deep belly laughs and sick action sequences!!! So great to see Mr. Hugh Jackman finally don his yellow suit.
This is good for what it is! So if you wanna suit up for some fun, this is the ...

Monday – Deadpool and Wolverine (2024)! This was an absolute must-watch for me! I adore Wolverine, and this movie gave me all the laughs and thrills I needed. Disclaimer: The Exorcist (1973) contains intense horror elements, disturbing imagery and strong language. An FYI if this isn't your jam. xx.
I can totally see why The Exorcist is known as 'the scariest movie ever made.' It’s haunting in a way that really digs into your psyche. The heavy emotion, the slow, methodical cinematography, and that chilling score keep the tension high and leave a visceral impact.
What truly sells this mov...

Welcome back to AFI Friday! It's quickly becoming one of my favorite days of the week.
The French Connection (1971), #93 on the AFI list. From the start, I was instantly immersed in the film's mystery and gritty aesthetic. I was floored to realize I’d be watching another William Friedkin film in 24 hours, with The Exorcist coming up next—his style captivated me immediately.
I loved how raw and real the movie felt. I felt like I was there like a...

Well, what can I say? This movie totally surprised me! I was expecting a smart comedy, but I didn’t anticipate it being such a heartfelt, genuine zombie comedy!
