This was Riona's last photoshoot before her retirement from modeling. She and I had worked together a couple of times and she specifically requested that we shoot together one last time. Merrique and I do a lot of experimenting during our monthly remote shoots, most of it works. She had an attachment to her lens which blurred half of it, kind of like looking through a prism. Depending on the amount you twisted it, it would blur out more of the photo. We tried it during this remote shoot and it worked pretty well. I guess it just depends on your taste. My friend Brennan was in Salt Lake while I was shooting with the 4 previous models, so before leaving the city, we made a date to shoot out on Stansbury Island in the Great Salt Lake. There's a salt mining operation at the end of Stansbury Island just out of frame of some of the photos. The mine is located where the last two photos were taken with the reflections on the water. Our second day working with these lovely models. We started out at Antelope Island (for those of you familiar with the area around the Great Salt Lake) and finished the day in the sand dunes south of Salt Lake City. I finished out June with a remote shoot with a model in Moscow (yes that Moscow) Diana. The only issue with working from the western US to Moscow is the time difference, 10 or 11 hours depending on where you're at. So to shoot with Diana at 10 am Moscow time, you start at midnight or 1 am your time. As you can see, Diana is worth staying up late for. We were supposed to go to 2 locations this last day of ExplOregon, but the mosquitos were so thick we decided to spend the entire morning at the lava flow instead of going to a barn located on the edge of a shallow lake (where we figured the mosquitos would be even fiercer). Day 3 of our adventure. Kat, Floofie, HSD and I set off for the Alford Desert hot springs. It seems like the hot springs have gotten more popular after Covid, but the folks camping there don't seem to mind being invaded by our little group. Can you blame them.
