Today I’m thinking of my choice to live here on this island. How does this choice affect this island? With the damage from colonization causing so much harm, how do I live on an island and contribute positively to the future of this paradise? How do I leave less of a footprint and support the biodiversity, waterways, protected areas and indigenous peoples of this island? How do I better communicate and advocate for those who have generations of ancestral stories here?
Just island thou...

My baby Grrrl Memphis in the mountains of Puerto Rico, modeling a burlesque set I handed down to her a while back. I wore this set so many years ago. I remember flying in @themaineattractionanders and my sister @mollytov1 was there hosting. I was performing with @sodagardocki and it was sooooo damn hot!!!!! I remember my friend Alison “Miss Motoblot” was still so alive and vibrant.
That show Sean was still alive also.
I accidentally left my costume in the green room that nig...

“Diodon holocanthus aka balloonfish are slow-moving fish that has small fins for navigating the shallow reefs or sea grass beds it prefers. Its teeth are formed into a beak that can crush shells of the mollusks and crustaceans it hunts at night. When threatened, it takes in water and inflates its body, making dozens of spikes stand out defensively. The balloonfish looks like similar species and can be identified by the dark blotches on its...

A few years back I met Haley and Soda in LA, we had a list of fun things to do, and really incredible people to meet.
Highest on my list of incredible adventures for this trip was Reuniting with my old BFF Misha Smith from my late teens, early twenties out west, until I moved from Arizona back to Iowa. We lost touch for a few years because we both moved homes so often and No cell phones back then for us we were broke. We had been planning this reunion for a long ti...

I remember filming this video. It was towards the very beginning of Covid, we had just moved into this temporary space and there was a pool. The pool was very tiny but super cute and I loved filming in there. I miss it! Our new place does not have a pool but the view was beautiful and the neighborhood is wonderful.
This film was taken after and a big tropical storm. That’s why you see so much debris in the water. We, Jeremy and myself, were both feeling kind of melancholy because the ...

Jeremy and I were able to do a few beautiful motion studies before the move started.
I’m so happy we took this time before the chaos to enjoy the water. We have been working hard to create a space to create for us and for you.
Jeremy and Deb moved the last of the big stuff today. We have 2 tropical storms heading our way so im not sure when we will be able to shoot under water again. The water gets too cloudy when it storms.
Looking back on these serene moments pulls me ...

Good morning! Please forgive me for not being extremely vocal about this but, I do prioritize my privacy and don’t always speak about what’s happening in my life. I realize that the content has been thin over the last month. Most of you understand that we put out an insanely high amount of content and there will be moments, days, months that have less content. We put out an incredibly large amount of content because we realize that there are months that I will be working on the road or ot...

Are you having a hard time getting up, moving around?
Grab a silk scarf , go outside in the breeze or plug in a strong fan strong fan and move your body.
Sometimes when everything seems so fast paced we just need to take it slow.

I love working with silk fabric. Even just lightweight fabric is beautiful as it moves in the wind.
It allows me the opportunity to move with the fabric and be able to explore different positions and transitions with more fluidity. Trying to keep the silk scarf against my body or attached to me at all times. The key is to never drop it, never let it fly away.
It sounds funny but this practice really helps me to meditate on one thing and push all of the other bullshit out of my ...

I want to be draped in it 24/7. I adore how it is heavier than a sheet but the cotton airy enough to breathe in this tropical climate.
What’s your favorite fabric texture? Why?

Sometimes when we’re out in the ocean, everything comes together perfectly and the most incredible photos and videos result. Sometimes there are photos and videos that might not be the best of the best aesthetically and in terms of positioning but there still great studies and form and movement.

In learning more about cameras and lenses and housing units for our underwater photography we are also learning about lighting and capturing the moment. The movement in the water and the light spilling onto the waves are everything. We realize that the more movement we have with bubbles the more exciting the photograph is.

I remember it like it was yesterday; I went to the NY Burlesque Festival and after leaving, I felt inspired and motivated to produce and host the inaugural Iowa Burlesque Festival in my hometown of Davenport, IA. I was overwhelmed at times, but damn did We put on a hell of a show. We tend to forget some of our great accomplishments or perhaps sometimes not give ourselves enough credit for the things we've done. It feels good to look back upon, and drives me to want to continue to produce amaz...

The peacock flounder (Bothus mancus), also known as the flowery flounder, is a species of fish in the family Bothidae (lefteye flounders). The species is found widely in relatively shallow waters in the Indo-Pacific, also ranging into warmer parts of the east Pacific.
The peacock flounder is also called flowery flounder because it is covered in superficially flower-like bluish spots. As suggested by the family name, lefteye flounders have both eyes on top of the left hand sid...

Nothing soothes the soul like a walk on the beach, so let the waves hit your feet and the sand be your seat!
'When my toes are sunk into warm sand and the ocean is lapping my feet, when I breathe in the scent of salt and hear the cry of a seagull I know that I am returned to a place of restoration. I am home. I can heal here.' - Toni Sorenson

About a year ago Jeremy and I decided to get in the water and beat the blues by taking some underwater pictures in our backyard pool. We were really just experimenting with lenses, cameras, different formats in which to photograph underwater. These are some of our first underwater photos that I really loved but at the time I was not featuring full nudity on my page so we stored these in our files.
As time went on and my fucks fell away, I decided, honestly, nude, not nude, what does it...

I’m thrilled that my daughter @lolahbearxo has decided to join my crew of stripping history models. Memphis was born with an old soul. People say that, but I mean it. Both of my children, they are both old souls. Memphis never tolerated any bullshit. She did not ever tolerate people being picked on in her presence, and she absolutely would not tolerate people making fun of her without standing tall. The boys at school and in the neighborhood were not shy about physically assaulting Memphis ...

I’m not sure if you remember the episode where I picked this Dust Bowl Era canvas with a beautiful display of rare buttons.
“The Dust Bowl was the name given to the drought-stricken Southern Plains region of the United States, which suffered severe dust storms during a dry period in the 1930s. As high winds and choking dust swept the region from Texas to Nebraska, people and livestock were killed and crops failed across the entire region. The Dust Bowl intensified the crushing econ...

Keramas Beach, Bali
Black sand beaches are composed of volcanic minerals and lava fragments especially common to coastlines on volcanic islands.
These beaches are incredibly beautiful!
Bali is located in the ring of fire, an hot spot for volcanic activity and earthquakes.
I remember that this beach was the first time I ever saw a unicorn fish. It was so strange, like an alien! It was a dark grey almost black...

Shapes and forms under water.
I’ve spent the last 2 years getting myself used to being fully immersed in water for my performance art. It’s an incredible experience but can be exhausting due to the amount of prep and energy it takes to make shapes look easy.
Removing clothing under water is very tricky. If I drop it, I have to hope I can swim down deep enough to grab it without damaging my ears.
That’s the hardest part so far, getting through the pain of water rushin...
