New things to the studio!

I’m so excited to be building up my costume collection for my students at my studio. Now my students can purchase, rent and borrow affordable costumes to perform in. When I started out in burlesque the costumes were so difficult to find and afford. I didn’t know the ins and outs of affordable costuming that looks on point on stage.

There were too many costumes in my history that were hot glued and fabric fused together.

What a long strange trip it’s been… Yet again…

I woke up this morning at 11 AM here in Puerto Rico. My flight came in at 12:50 AM in Aguadilla PR, about 30 minutes drive from my home in Rincon. It’s been a gnarly two days travel to get home.

Dead Tired

And good morning world! It is 9:32 AM I found my way to my hotel room at about 3:30 AM. After a great post dirty show nightcap with my dear ones from Chicago Lilly Rascal and Eva LaFeva. It was so great to catch up. I slept for 2 1/2 hours then woke up and watched “horse girl” on Netflix for breakfast… this is an incredibly poignant and important show for people who struggle with mental illness. What a day this was! Detroit, you’re pretty. A Road Dog Diary.

So I landed in Detroit the evening before last at the moment the plane touched down it started to snow. It was absolutely beautiful, I didn’t realize how much I actually needed to see the snow and feel the cold on my cheeks. I forgot for a moment what it feels like for everything to be completely devoid of life and covered in slush. No green anywhere, just white everywhere. This island has healed more traumatic memories than I can ever relay in words. So sorry about the radio silence here in the last few days. We are back in Rincon with my girls Haley, Deb, and Madison.  It was a very interesting few days in Viejo San Juan. I’m definitely  working through a lot of feelings. We are going to have some many amazing photos and videos made for you in the next week and we can't wait to share them with you.
