Hey everyone. 

It's a bit late tonight, but most of you read these the next day anyway :/

I was able to finish the male character sprite, and inserted both into the game. There wasn't much to see there, so I didn't bother making a video. After that I spent a long time trying to make it so you can turn the player on a key-tap without moving, but I couldn't figure it out. Instead I just did a simple fix where you can turn in place by holding the shift-key down. I'll probably change it...

(5/25/18) Day 3 and Female Character Sprite

Yo! After a minor setback, I ended up having to reformat most of the tiles again, although in a much easier and less time consuming manner. You can see the fruits of those labors above, where I have the first framework of Maria's house done. You can see the itty bitty Maria sprite as well, which I crafted up using the character generator of RPGMaker and inserted her frames into a character for the game already.

(5/24/18) Day 2 and Tilesheets Done

Wow, there was waaay more wall tiles than I expected. I only barely got them all finished by tonight. I already loaded them images into the project, and tested them out alright. I drafted up Maria's house from SQI as well, but hadn't put in the furniture yet, so didn't think of showing it off. (5/23/18) Day 1, and Tilesheets

Hi everyone, pictured above is what I spent all day on. I'm in the middle of formatting all of the tilesheets from RPGmaker over to Construct 2, and it's dull, and tedious work. Perfect for someone coming down from a week of finals. Unfortunately, it isn't just copy/pasting them over to a new document. Since RPGmaker had it's own software interpret the tilesheets, I had to sort of fill in the blanks that were done automatically before. Hoo~ Alright, that'll do for now.

Here are the final designs and style I'll be using for the portrait art from now on. It's not great, but it's a definite improvement from my last attempts. Hi again everyone. I know I said before that I'd comment on this in a few days, but the response honestly speaks for itself at this point, and I doubt there will be any substantial changes.. The trends for both polls were almost identical, a vast majority of both groups would be willing to support other projects every now and then, as long as I get Spanquest II in order first. From the responses that I got, I think I have a got idea of how I will progress from now on, but I want to get a quick tally of what everyone thinks before I make anything final. This poll will also be only open to Patrons for obvious reasons. So, the game jam has come and gone, Godspeak might have posted the winner by now, or will do so shortly. I spent a lot of time working on the "note" and sensor graphics. From messing around with the visual effects I got a cute butt shaking effect on the "sensor" area near the bottom. I tried doing a similar thing with the actual spanking graphic, but that didn't work out so well. 4/30/18 and Game Jam Day 1

Time for a week of new game development!

It's a bit rough around the edges, but not bad for a day of work I'd say. I was hesitant with the spanking animation, but it turned out okay in the end, so now I'll be able to devote more time to it in the end. Luckily the main game play is easy to code for this, so I can spend more time on the art. Next I'll probably work on the note frequency and detection, then the note and sensor graphics.

4/29/18 and Maximum Overdrive

Hey peeps. I know, short time between posts right? As of now, I not only have finished the stat submenu in the Sumaki stone, but I've also completed the pause menu for the time being. What that means, is that I can get started on the spanking system for X/Player scenes right now. As always, the scenes where the player are spanked are easier to code out than the ones where the player spanks, since they are given less control. Finished the save system. It's a bit wonky, but it works. Currently I set space for 10 slots, but I can potentially have infinite. I might skip the settings and exit option, since there isn't much to change at the moment. Next I'll probably start working on the final menu section, the Sumaki Stone. Not a big reveal today, but I decided how I'll organize the next set of menus. This includes an active quest log (showing rewards, persons of interest, progress, etc.), character database (gives small descriptions of characters you've interacted with), and a map (Which will also have details on areas you've visited).

4/15/18 and Equipment Prototype

Yo everyone, I finally managed to finish a functioning equipment menu/system. The game now successfully handles giving, taking, and equipping equipment. I still have to make the icon art for each piece, and make their stats affect the player's stats, but that's the easy part. I'll put a bit more polish on both the inventory and equipment menus and then I'll start working on the other (hopefully more simple) sections of the pause menu.
