Siren in the rocks of Mexico

I've had terrible service while in Mexico, but I haven't had much time to try to enjoy internet anyway except on the car rides to and from cenotes. I've gotten to use that time to relate and get to know Kristy Jessica and the photographers that have been on our workshops. The Nude Siren Events has been very successful. I've really enjoyed creating underwater. It is a cool natural medium. I think in genreral I enjoy natural and the way it looks. Often underwater is refreshing and has less bugs...

Probably my favorite set

I was inspired to  bring my cat in for a set. It wasn't intentional. I was setting up when she started getting really snuggly! I'm so happy to have her in the set. She is so funny. She doesn't have the most creative poses. She most often wants to sit up on my shoulder, despite not being small enough. I love that she is so expressive in her face. I'm looking for some suggestions on shoot ideas. I have some sets I've created already for the next few months, but I like to sprinkle other ide...

What a month for self portraits!

Not to bombard everyone! February ended up being quite the inspiring month! I traveled a lot through New York City, Upstate New York, and Philadelphia. I stayed in Albany a few days, but I didn't take many self portraits of that. I mainly focused on my shoots with others there, and I really enjoyed my airbnb in the area. Albany was probably the most winter filled time I had. Albany had the most snow I got to see. I enjoyed the fire in my airbnb in Albany. It has a wonderful feeling.

Movement

This month, I chose a set based on movement. This in particular are wlaking and running movements. A little tricky to get the full effect in studio, but I like the variety of steps in a walking movement. Lots of standing positions, I've found. I did a few jogging and switching directions for variety. I also tried different speeds. In the future, I may go in depth with this series to demonstrate those details further. Wanted to see what you all liked or didn't like about this first!

Does it feel like Spring

I wrapped up my time in NYC. I have more photos of some different places I shot self portraits, but I'm not ready to share many of them yet. They need more editing or to cull through. Hopefully I can share more soon. I traveled to New York this February to see the snow, and specifically travel with a friend of mine to upstate New York. We wanted to find ice caves and frozen waterfalls. It was a warm winter, despite the blizzards running through. There wasn't a lot of snow, but there was some ...

The Fetal Pose or Model Bean

I've been modeling various "fetal" poses for different locations for years. Sometimes I feel like I've been doing the same pose over and over, but recently I've been challenged to try different "fetal" poses for an artist, and realized there are actually quite a few ways to do this. I think when I'm posing out in nature, I don't think about this. I often go with the pose that feels natural to the environment. I'm excited to have a few more ideas for the future.

White sands to white snow

The irony is that I didn't see much sand in Mexico, and I'm seeing very little snow in New York.

I will not lie that I love to travel, but traveling is hard. It is hard to actually find beautiful places or interesting things. Mexico for instance is so tourist focused it is like being back in America, but with a more obstructed view of the ocean. The best food I've ever had in Mexico was in Cancun. My friend and I went up to a stall that seemed to serve tacos. These tacos were abso...

Goddess-y Vibes

Had a few shoots recently that inspired this idea, so I wanted to test and try it out with my new studio space and lights. Building some ideas around this concept. I kept the editing minimal again to give room for using this as reference material. Though I really like the idea of using this idea for more indepth photoshop work. I'm almost inspired by the idea of learning graphic design and art. I'm learning that I cannot just create and learn to do everything, at least not if I want to do it ...

Shell Portraits

Shot some self portraits (shell portraits) this morning and I'm excited about editing then. Staying at this beautiful airbnb and shooting with Liz Earls. We are at the shell airbnb in Isla Mujeres. It comes up if you Google it. It is really beautiful. Would love to stay here lol. I love all the smooth white walls and she'll themed styling. Bravo to the attention to detail without looking campy! It is stunning here. On the opposite side of the island are beautiful beaches and restaurants tied ...

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!

Not exactly Christmas or holiday themed. I've been considering trying to build sets. This was a really simple concept with draping an extra piece of fabric or two. I'd like to add more fabric and levels to it, but would likely need a extra set stand to do so. So I'll be looking out for some.

I used only natural light. My skin reflects it a bit differently than it did last year when I hadn't tanned before. It is nice having my studio set in a...

Set by Langston Bowen

I've been back in Georgia a few weeks and I'm in disbelief of the fall colors. Obviously these were taken in summer time, in Tennessee. I really love the nature around here. I fell in love with California, but the trek to get there next year seems a bit overwhelming. I wish it were easy enough to fly and rent a car, and may be it will be in a few months. There is a lot I want to do and see. I'm having to negotiate the time. This last year was so hectic, but I got to really have many great adv...

rembrandt inspired set

Special request to come up with a set of images in the rembrandt style. This style usually is specific to a certain shadow from the nose on to the face, but it is simply a high contrast and narrow light. It doesn't allow a lot of movement which is fine since my space doesn't allow for a lot of room anyway. For modeling I've always struggled with it. This lighting is great for bringing out any lines and marks on the body. I can see it's inspiration for drawing. The lines are thick and obvious....

Self Portraits at Wet Beaver Creek

First look at the self portraits and images I took while in Arizona. I have so many, it'll take a while to edit through them all.  I want to sit down and watch more courses on editing while I have down time this winter. This winter I'll catch up on a lot. I have a lot of admin work that comes near the end of the year. This year will be especially tricky since new policies have gone into place arond small businesses and health insurance. I am positive that I will be experiencing some good...

Lighting Practice

Maybe or maybe not the most exciting collection of photos. I have these studio lights I don't get ot practice with much while I'm traveling everywhere. I am familar with my constant lights for self portraits, but have started trying out both my new camera and a new alienbee I bought from a friend. I had an easy lighting setting up I use to use a lot, but wanted to try out some different ideas for other concepts. Despite my angles changing, I mostly just changed the lights. I added the same bn...

Albuquerque

Self portraits I took as I was leaving Albuquerque. Currently headed towards Phoenix. I hardly had the chance to sleep last night, so I finally treated myself to a pumpkin spice latte. This tour has turned out well!! I had so much anxiety you beginning it.I haven't been out West in such a long time, and a part of me felt some impending doom. The idea of driving so far away feels overwhelming. So much can go wrong in a car, especially traveling through deserted lands. Instead I am so inspir...

Waterfalls in Pittsburgh with Rachel Dashae

I'm excited to see Rachel again this November. She'll be flying down to meet me on tour in Arizona. Mostly, we plan to hike around the area and shoot. She knows a lot more about this space than I do. I've briefly touched the west coast a few times, and never thought to explore it if I'm honest. I already get overwhelmed being and driving through new areas. It all astonishes me! It is so different from one state to the next some times. I don't know what to look for. I think that's what I like ...

Trying to decide on what to post this month!

Going to post by the end of the week I hope. I bit off a lot to choose from and so much to edit! It is exciting but then I also started a new tour. I feel so far behind on work. Isn't that how we all feel though? Especially at this time of the year. More soon. Just wanted to update you all!

Red and White

Created a huge set of these. I didn't realize I'd taken so many, but great! I might sell a set of these on my website. Eventually.

I am spending a bit of time at home on break. I wouldn't call it a vacation. It is a lot of rest, hanging out with family, and a bit of catch up. Mostly rest, and I mean mental rest. I've been taking a break from thinking about anything. As a model I noticed I have three parts to myself, my physical, my rational, and my emotional. My emotional self cou...

Prints to Gift

I have several darkroom prints and a few non-dark room prints to gift away. Thinking of giving them away, differently than I have in the past. I still need to count and see how many there are! I have some left over instax as well. Usually I send random prints to people who send me their addresses, but maybe I can post a photo of some of the prints and you can decide yourselves before I send them. There is only one copy of each though.

Art From the Bahamas

I promised a story about modeling. I'm always asking myself why modeling? I often describe it as the one job where being an emotional person is a good thing. People actually want me to express myself, whereas I'd spent 20 years (before I found mdoeling), trying to be as emotionless as possible to be considered a reasonable and good student. Fitting in was something I never excelled at, until I found this community. I've thought about modeling as a hobby, but it is hard for me not to give all ...

The Bahamas

Back from the Bahamas. I know they're not the most inspiring photos, but I put my phone up and never looked at it for a week. I don't think of taking photos. So these were the few selfies I had taken.
The Bahamas were quite a trip. If you saw on my IG, I've been going without my anxiety medication. Again, unfortunately. During tour I've been having quite a lot of difficulty with my insurance and doctor. I thought is finally prepared well this time, but I am meeting with the same issue agai...

Changing it up- Bath figure art set

I'll be losing my Only Fans in the next few days for various reasons, so I'm finally making the push to move more on to Patreon. I have neglected Patreon because of the inability to post videos. I will miss and regret not having it, but I can conintue to post bts and se...

Bath Tub Figure Set

Thanks to Don Necessary for the concept idea. Please feel free to send me ideas of what you want to see.

I love the bath tub generally. I spent a lot of time in high school and college doing homework in the bath tub.  Water really helps me deal with chronic pain. I think I still love water for this reason and that association. My friend Dakota Lee helped me take these photos. Some I took myself with the tripod. I'm relieved I got some good ones from that. Learning my new Sony camer...

He has collaborated with a few models for this project.

Yellow Dress Underwater

I actually made this dress and I love it underwater. I plan to do an artistic edit eventually, but with these edits you can see the colors, lighting, and flow of the water. There is a bit of ripple from the lighting in some areas as well. This is more than just abut the dress but also the hair. For some reason I didn't think to try different poses though. Hopefully next time. Next month, I'll take some bath tub photos though
