This one was really emotional for me! I've been warned manyyyy times it's not historically accurate, but I got wrapped up in the story all the same! Passion, romance, epic battles, friendship, bravery, violence, betrayal, this was a rollercoaster. Get ready for waterworks and my unfortunate Scottish accent. I think this just might be my masterpiece.
Wow! I was really blown away by this one! The writing, the dialogue (that subtext!), the characters, the acting down to every little detail. Christoph Waltz was a stand out but every one of the actors were excellent, down to the small parts like the father at the beginning + the Nazi interrogating them in the basement bar. In my humble opinion, in the nuclear world, the true enemy is war itself.
Ohhh this was a good one!! Two stellar performances from Denzel and Gene, I really loved their chemistry together! This felt like an action movie, but with a thoughtful dilemma at the heart of it. Really really liked this one, thanks for choosing it in the Denzel poll! Are there other submarine movies I should check out?

Love is the one thing we're capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space.
Wow. This movie is both epic + grand - about the mysteries of the universe, black holes and spacetime - and also personal - about love between a father + daughter and the importance of being together.
I feel like this one still has me thinking. I love ideas of space travel, time, the future of humanity, and of course love!! I really loved this one.
