Hi all,
How are you on this lovely day?
I feet the need to do a little mid-week update, since this week is a bit weird in several ways, and I will not be able to do a full post about anything, but didn't want to leave you with nothing at all for too long.
This week is multi-layered and strange. Here is how it was/is structured.
➽ The sale :
I am ridiculously busy, and although that is generally always true, thi...

Hey all,
Since this piece was featured quite a bit on my Patreon this month, I thought you might enjoy an early preview of this week end's Youtube video. :)
Hope you're all well!

Hi all!
Here is the Process PDF for this month!
I apologise for the time it took me to put together, I think it will probably be standard for this reward to come mid-month, since these bigger pieces take me a while to put together, I hope that's ok!
I am hoping to get to a point where I'll have a bit of backlog to fall back on, but for the moment, I am too swamped on...

Hey guys,
I was wading through all my scanned files and found this little guy, and thought that you might enjoy it!
It was a concept I started for some day in Inktober last year (which day I don't know) but then abandoned because I was unhappy with it.
It was a strange concept, and I think part of why I put it aside and didn't finish it was because I didn't know what I was trying to express with it. Now, don't take me wrong, I never really know...

Hello everyone!
After 4 days of painting, I have finally finished "Adoration"!
And I have to say, I am really quite happy with this one! I used the same technique I tried on "Lost", using watercolour and gouache next to each other to create a texture contrast.
This piece was so. much. fun. I hadn't had that much joy painting in a while. I always enjoy painting, but lately I have felt very frustrated with my art, I didn't feel like my painting style was up to par, and I felt s...

Hi everyone,
As promised, here is the first royalty-free reference pack!
For the first bundle, I put together a bunch of photographs of metal objects and lanterns (above picture + more).
These are all pictures I took myself while I was back home in France, and although I have a wonderful camera, I'm not myself very experienced with it, so apologies...

Hi everyone,
As promised, here is the first royalty-free reference pack (well, packS in this case, as one pack was too big for Patreon to handle. I had to split the pictures into two files...)! You may notice I did two posts with this info, and that is because as $5+ patrons, you get a few more images than the basic lower tier bundle.
For this pack, I put together a ...

Hi peeps!
Thank you for all your kind words on my little life-studies! I'll look into making some sticker sets from them, maybe experiment with printing them myself, we'll see. I'll keep you updated of course.
In the meantime, here is what yesterday was about ; finalising the concept for "Adoration". I managed to fit in the sketch and transferring it to paper yesterday, and this afternoon will be painting time! I'm excited. :)
Hope you are all having a wonderful day,

Hi all,
Here's a little compilation post of all the object studies I did while I was back home. My step-mother owns a plethora of inspiring vintage objects, and I just wish I'd actually painted more!
They were all painted in gouache, on 250gsm (115 lb) Clairefontaine Paint On Naturel Paper, in A5 (5.8x8.3in or 14.8x21cm).
I really love this little paper pad, I did not regret splurging on it for very long! It takes gouache beautifully, a...

(Loads of posts today! I hope you don't mind? Some days I'm just...enthusiastic...hahaha)
I just finished this painting today and thought I would share it first with all of you.
It is an attempt at exploring a style of painting I have been thinking of adopting for a while, a mix between soft watercolour and bold gouache, surrealism and semi-realism. My themes are often quite dark, but I don't want a painting style that would emphasize that to the point of horror. I want to create t...

Hi all,
Attached is the PDF of the pages I drew in my sketchbook this last month!
There are fewer than usual, as I didn't draw in it for about half the month, because...home...all that....but I should have a bunch more sketches in June!
Hope you'll enjoy this one nonetheless!

Hi all,
I have a quick question for you!
Regarding prints, do you tend to prefer the measurements to be in inches (5x7, 8x11...etc...), or in "A" sizes (A4, A3...etc...)?

How are you doing?
I hope you are all doing well, and hopefully enjoying a little sunshine.
I just got back from France, and am now trying to catch up on all the work I couldn't do while I was there.
Keep reading for a few updates and what's in store, but first, I wanted to share with you some thumbnails for my next big painting!
I'll be honest, I am heavily leaning towards the fourth image, the kiss. It feels less violent than my ea...

📌 [Update especially important to $20 tier patrons!] 📌
Hi all!
( Novel incoming....sorry....)
Here is a little update to explain my lack of activity on social media, and my lack of new sketches and original art, and to let you in on some changes I want to implement on here!
As you know I am currently in France for a quick last minute trip home, and it is proving more difficult to fit drawing in than I thought, as I obviously don't have all m...

Hi guys,
I painted my first still-life from...well, life!
It was a whole new challenge, and I hope to be able to do a few more before I fly back to the UK (My step-mum collects all sorts of fun objects that are really great from studies and paintings! I don't have such a collection back in London, so I'm trying to take advantage of it while I'm home. )
I will probably do a compilation video of those for Youtube at some point, but it won't be for a while, and I wondered if you...

Hi everyone!
I need your help choosing which pictures to paint first!
Feel free to vote down below for which design you would like to see painted, and then maybe turned into a sticker, or at least offered as an option in the next sticker vote!
You can vote for as many as you want, although if you could keep it to 3 options it might make things easier?
I hope you are all well,

Hi all,
Here is the process PDF for "Hollow"!
Sorry for the delay, it was a behemoth of a file to put together, but I hope it will be interesting to you all.
Enjoy!
PS : The .pdf file is the uncompressed file, and is 33MB. The .zip file is the compressed PDF, and is 31MB. The only reason I did a .zip file as well as a .pdf is because it seems to be uploading to Patreon, whereas the .pdf wasn't (I think it's ok now). Let me know if this format works and which...

Hi all,
So here's my finished "Hollow" painting (I think I might in fact stick with that title...I can't think of one I prefer...).
I painted it in gouache and watercolour (watercolour for the initial values and colour layers and gouache for...everything else....), and used a lot of acrylic matte medium to layer my gouache like I would oils. It did make me want to get myself some oils...I think that they would work better for some of my finished pieces, when I spend a few day...

I'll be very honest, I am struggling like crazy on this one. I am putting a lot of pressure on myself to make it look good, but also to finish it before Saturday, as I'm going abroad on Monday and won't be able to take it with me if I haven't completed it, and I want t...

Hey guys,
I thought you might enjoy a little extra something while I get all your official rewards ready.
I have a practice routine everyday, and part of it is painting a 20 to 30min portrait before I start painting my personal pieces. I voluntarily restrict myself to 20 to 30 mins as an exercise to train myself in picking out the essential elements of my model and reference and it also means I can't think too much about my colour mixing and just hav...

So, the video for this week will be a tour of my mixed media sketchbook.
The video is all edited and ready to go, kind of, and I now need to decide what to use as a thumbnail. I can't seem to decide whether I should use a picture of my sketchbook closed or open.
What do you guys think?

I hope you are all enjoying a lovely Easter break, whether you celebrate Easter or not! ♥
For my part, I forced myself to enjoy a good book ("Relics", by Tim Lebbon) in bed for a bit too long (and tried to train myself to not feel guilty about it. I'm not very good at not working...) in the morning, and some lovely food out with a friend. I will be going home for a proper family time in a week (Home is in France), which I am very much looking forward to...

I think I might be done with the undersketch for this painting!
I'll sleep on it and see what I think of it tomorrow, and if I am still happy with it, I'll start transferring it to the final paper.
I can't wait to start painting it! It's always the most unnerving but exciting part, haha.
By the way, this will be my next Process PDF!
Hope you're all well!
