My new video came out a week ago, and what a week it's been! It seems to be doing really well. It feels weird to celebrate the success of something so dark – I don't exactly like that it's resonating with people, but I hope people are finding it helpful.

Here's the new video, gang! Woohoo!! I wanted to make sure I could stand behind the first version anyone would see, so I'd say the video is 95% complete – all I've got left is colour grading, and adding music + some minor graphics.

I'd love to know what you think. This thing is a behemoth, so I may have missed a spot here and there - please let me know if so :)

Over the past few months, "the gender identity debate" has broken into the Canadian mainstream for the first time. Canada's nascent gender-critical movement is not purely a pseudo-feminist one or a Christian one – instead, it's a bewildering coalition of feminists, edgy populists, the Christian right, Muslim organizations, and honest-to-god neo-Nazis. People who seem like they should have little in common are suddenly finding a lot of common ground in opposing us.

January production diary: we called it and it came

Hey gang! I hope you've had some rest over the holiday season, and your year's gotten off to a good start. I have to admit, I've been living the dream this past week, mostly just... hangin' out. Playing some games, watching new stuff (read on for recommendations), and tending to friendships I struggle to find enough time for! It's been great – I really needed this after the whirlwind that was December.

I'm getting back to work now, because my next project is too darn cool to stay away...

This iteration is less cohesive than the others, but I don't think I'm pretending to know everything, which I take as a good sign. Everything is in flux right now – which, at the very least, has been gorgeous in my neighbourhood.

I'm thrilled to share this article I wrote for the new issue of Maisonneuve Magazine. It's a review of NEOTOKYO, a self-described "cyberpunk noodle bar" that just opened in downtown Montreal.
