Mac Miller - Balloonerism - Uncut Reaction (Early Access)

A complicated, challenging and sometimes beautiful posthumous record from Mac Miller. Once again beautifully and artfully put together by his estate.

It has been such a pleasure to discover Mac's music with you all. I'll be listening forever.

Fontaines DC - Romance - Exclusive Uncut Reaction

A slight lull at the start of 2025 is the perfect time to squeeze this one in.

And I'm very glad I did.

It'll take more listens but this feels like their strongest and most 'listenable' album to date, without losing their essence (as so many bands do when they grow to this size)

Another cracking suggestion team.

What better way to start 2025 than with this? I mean, it kinda broke my mind and had me contemplating the structure of reality itself, but I wouldn't want it any other way.

Thank you to everyone who has joined up since the Radiohead reaction started, and of course eternal thanks to everyone who's been part of this community for time.

Holy shit! Holy, Holy Shit!

Vampire Weekend - Only God Was Above Us - Uncut Reaction

Another one for AOTY season. And yet another superb recommendation. Not sure why I stopped listening to these guys in 2010, but it's probably the same reason I stopped listening to most music at that time - kids!

Absolutely gutted

55 mins into my Mach-Hommy - #RICHAXXHAITIAN reaction, my PC sketched out and corrupted the video and the audio. It's dead.

I was really enjoying the record.

POLITickle and SONJE are flow clinics with heavy beats that surprised me

SUR LE PONT.. has a classic Conductor beat and will definitely grow into being a favourite

Album then lost me slightly, including the tune with Black Thought which didn't quite connect for me as I hoped it would

But picked back up again...

I'm not sure why the universe decreed that this record was important to listen to today, but I'm very glad it did.

Gimme some AOTY contenders I've not heard

I want to get through some AOTY contenders before I do my list next week, and record them as vids for the Patreon.

There's only so much time so some might have to wait until after the list, but ideally I can get a couple in before the list.

I have been meaning to do Geordie Greep for ages, but lemme know what else I've missed out on.

Plan is to get a couple of these, plus another classic (radiohead again maybe?) done before xmas break.

A reaction 17 years in the making.

This ended up being quite an emotional video, but perhaps not in a typical way. It's certainly a privilege to be able to share this with you.

As much as a I enjoy reacting to new music and sharing those moments with you, there's so much power in connecting to the essence of the 'milion ghosts', as I mention in the video.

I've never listened to a full Prince album. I don't think I've listened to MJ's albums AS albums.

I only really know Radiohead's singles.

I've never listened to a Beatles album although I have played Rock Band Beatles and obviously know many songs.

I have a weird personal issue/history ...

Would you watch...

Bit of market research, and you guys are who I trust most with guiding the future of the channel(s)

So would you watch classic album reactions to records that:

I know casually (know a couple songs maybe) but have never properly listened

I know a bit more but have never deep dived into

Actually know well but can do a kind of deep listen, breakdown type of thing

Obviously I would explain my relationship with the records in the video!

A very interesting listen. I have missed the controversy surrounding the new singer, so I come into this open minded and open eared.
