Flushed, A City Sewer Map

Hey all,

You voted for a sewer map and here we have it. This was a monster of a map, probably the largest I've made, and I may have bitten off more than I could chew but I'm happy with the results.

I especially enjoyed drawing the large Sarlacc like creature variation and can imagine it being there for a whole host of reasons. Perhaps it's some kind of demon slowly eating its way through from the Abyssal planes, slowly growing in size to eventually break out to the surface.&...

Tales by Torchlight - Fens of Terror

Hey all,

It's with great pleasure I get to share a joint project I've been working away on with some very talented and excellent creators.  Together we've put together a stand alone module that you can either drop straight in to your campaign, play as a one shot or just pick up and use elements from it that you like in your own game.

Map Vote

Hey all!

I hope you enjoyed the map that dropped the other day. We had some great suggestions on the board already so I've added one extra from Discord to them - let me know what you'd like to see. :)

Ship(s) Ahoy! - Greek style - I hear they're in fashion at the moment - so I'll make a Trireme / Bireme / Pentekonter

Love Lost in the Undercroft

“Towards the back of the temple, at a seemingly blank section of wall, you find the stone work doesn't quite line up. There's a faint breeze coming out of clear mortar joints and with a light press on the wall it swings silently open to reveal a dark interior with steps leading downwards.
A blissfully cool draft of air blows past you, it would be refreshing after the beating sun outside if it weren't for the rancid smell that came with it. You find it to be ...

Hello fantastic Patrons & Followers,

First up I’d like to say a huge thank you to my supporters over the past year.

Now, I’ve been threatening to overhaul my Patreon page for months and I’ve finally carved out enough time to do it. So bear with me, there’s a fair bit of information to share but hopefully it’s full of exciting goodies.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to quickly let you know of an upcoming change to tax laws that may affect you.

Map Vote

Hey all!

I hope you enjoyed yesterdays map. I've been taking suggestions for the next one over on Discord and thought I'd hold the vote over here as I know some of y'all aren't on Discord.

Under the Greek Temple - This will be a mini-dungeon that could carry on from the previous map, or as a stand alone, a bolt hole for your villains.

Prayer of Healing - Greek Style Temple

“Your recent travels through swamps, deserts and frozen tundra has been a test of endurance and sanity. It is a relief to be back in civilisation, even if it’s just a small town like this.
As you walk along the streets you pass simple but beautifully carved stone buildings. The stone casts a warm yellow glow on the streets.
At the heart of the town, a large temple sits atop a stone plinth. It stands proud and strong in the summer su...

From Rite to Ruin

“You can’t seem to throw a stone in this jungle without hitting yet more temples. You’d have thought nobody would be crazy enough to want to live in such a hostile environment and yet here they are, dedicating their entire lives to building monuments to their Gods.
A recent run in with some lost archaeologists has lead you to believe that those that stole The Serpentine Staff are hidden away within this maze of crumbling buildings. As you investigate the...

Atone

“Mosquito bitten and sun burnt your party press through the jungle until finally, the broken trail you’ve been following for days, gives way to large stone slabs. Up ahead through the dense foliage you can hear a deep, low, rhythmic chanting.
Pressing on you soon come to the edge of the dense jungle tree line and before you, dominating a large clearing, is a square temple with high walls surrounded by a moat.

Outrun & Overgrown

“With long swinging swipes your blade hacks at the heavy jungle foliage. The heat and humidity is suffocating but you press on through the day and eventually, to your relief, the overgrown jungle starts to give way to a small animal path.
A few more hours on the rough path and the dense canopy opens up to a small clearing around a set of ruins. Untended and overgrown the stone ruins have begin to crumble in the baking sun and heavy rain. &nb...

Desert Reach

“Through the persistent heat haze above the arid desert you see a large obelisk reaching for the sky. As you approach closer you find it to be a gigantic marble arm. Perhaps 20ft across at the base of the forearm it reaches 40ft up to the palm with all five fingers splayed out as if trying to clasp the sun.
"Standing proud it casts much needed shade over the sand below it. And as you enjoy a respite from the sun you realise the arm appears to be ...

Town Market - Collaboration with Will Savino!

“The fountain that overlooks the square burbles loudly, overflowing by design down the rock walls in to two pools either side of a wide staircase that leads back up to the fountain from the main square.
On the square itself a small market is ticking along, hawkers and street urchins selling their goods as the patrons overflow from the nearby inn in to a large tent with live band. All reviling in the merriment and drinking their way to happiness.” View Post

Pillars in the Sand

“You wearily take another step across the soft sand. The beating sun and dry hot heat of the desert has been sapping your parties strength for days now. Between that and the sandstorm a few nights back what should have been a 5 day trek has turned in to 8 and with it the rations you have are starting to run out. The carrion birds wheeling above you squark gleefully to your hopeful end.
But there, in the distant haze, you make out a ruined structu...

State of the Maps & Broadsword Announcement

Hey all!

Big News! - As promised I’ve been working away on some cool collaborations for this year and I can now share the first one. I’m working with the likes of DMDave (who writes fantastic content for all things DnD5e) to make an 80’s style dungeon crawl map and adventure for his magazine Broadsword.

The Kickstarter for this went live yesterday and the next three issues of this magazine are already funded! So it’s happening if you want it to or not ;) -...

Woodcutters Cabin

"Half a days hike from the nearby town and you start to enter the forest. The townsfolk there had been mighty kind but deeply worried that some of their number had gone missing.
With the monsters that roam these forsaken lands you're not surprised but if the townsfolk want to offer coin for finding their friends who are you to argue.
Up ahead a simple woodcutters cabin lies between the trees, perhaps they've seen the lost vi...

Throne of Bones

“The foul sewage like smell permeates throughout the winding tunnels, forcing you to cover your mouth. Against all instincts you continue to push through the tunnels in the direction of the stench.
Before long you find a river most foul that trickles along the tunnel floor, this appears to be the source of the rank odour and so you press on to its source.
Eventually the tunnel opens out into a huge vaulted cavern. At the f...

Chilled to the Bone

“After weeks of soft knee deep snow the landscape starts to change. Shards of ice jut up unnaturally from the ground at odd angles. Up to 30 foot long and as sharp as blades you have to slow your pace to pick your way carefully over the ground.
But perhaps the end is in sight. The snaking frozen river you’ve been following heads directly in to the base of a cliff that rears up 50ft towards the sky.
As you ge...

Cold by the Fire

“The never ending snow and ice continues. The days, maybe weeks now, of trudging alongside the frozen river all blur in to one bone chilling experience.
Up ahead, through the falling snow, you see a large cliff rearing up between the trees. Down the face of it a once churning waterfall now lies eerily silent. Gripped by the freezing temperatures the immense power of the water waits.
You notice a thin spire of smoke a...

Confluence at the Henge

“With the beasts slain at the bloody camp, the adventuring group press on past the oxbows. Tired and with snow sodden boots, they eventually find the merging of the frozen rivers. In the centre of which, on a raised plinth of snow covered rock, an old henge of power sits.
Within the ring of stones half a dozen robed figures can be made out but large hoods hide their faces. Between them a deep chant starts to fill the air as they raise their voice...

Blizzard at the Oxbows

“You make tracks through the fresh snow as you follow the frozen river through the trees.
Heavily laden branches bend under the weight of fresh snow. A soft “flomp” sounds as one of the trees sheds its load to the floor.
The air is chill and fresh. The light just fading as you spot the remains of a camp up ahead before a small rock face. It looks like it might be a good place to rest up for the night. But as you ...

What Dies Beneath

“The stairs you descend lead to a large carved out cavern, tall pillars rising up to hold the ceiling. The musty sent of dust mingled with decay greats you as you step on to the rough stone floor. Coffins line the sides of the chamber, plain marble with gold inlay that lead up to a set of heavy double stone doors.
Supposedly the heads of the house rest beyond with their wealth. As you approach the doors wearily you hear the faint grating of stone on st...

The most popular rumour is the supposed golden burial chamber of the lord and lady of the house and th...

The River Runs Red

Deep below, where the river runs red, they try to bring forth change.”
