Month End Status Update

Hello,

August is in the bag and it's time for an update on things. The Zalran Church and Bridge maps were updated for MV. Additionally, the chapter 1 map updates for North Road, South Road and Zalran Lake were started. I've begun upscaling and inputting chapter 1 artwork.

Month End Status Update

Hello everyone,

July is in the books, and you guys deserve a status update. There's some good news and some bad.

Progress was made this month, all the Zalran interior maps were finalized, events added and updated to the Mayor's house, Voran's bar, etc. Mapping is almost done for Zalran church which will bring all the mapping up to Chapter 1. Artwork is still being worked on for the CGs 6-8, but all 3 are nearly done.

Update Information

Hello everyone,

Well, damn. I was getting things in order yesterday, going through Patreon tiers to make sure everything was appropriate, as once a charge is ran those are basically locked in. I then realized that pledge charges only go through at the start of the month--which I knew, not sure what I was thinking. So, now I'm left with a dilemma. Release Information

Hello, we're nearing the end of March. I'll be putting out a pledged update this week. The pledge will apply to the March and April updates. I'll be using the pledged money to commission and finalize the remaining components of the battle system. Just a quick update. No release quite yet. I had an opportunity this week to work with someone on the combat UI and took it. I thought I could do both, but I didn't end up putting enough time into the game after work hours (damn you Elden Ring). So, the release is not quite ready, but I think we got the combat UI in place. The first MV release (0.10) is extremely close to being ready to go. I know I said that I'd release a monthly update, but it seems very silly to release a partial update a few days before an actual release. February is half gone. I've been churning ahead and figured I'd give a quick status update since it's been about 2 weeks since the January update.

Hello everyone,

Alright, I promised a proper update. The game is playable through where I want the next release to be. I've been doing legitimate map updates to get them to MV tilesets and I believe they look pretty darn nice for RPG Maker. Still churning along. Thought I'd give you all a little update. Still polishing things up and getting the MV systems screens in place. I'm spending about 3-4 days per week getting everything that was in the prologue polished and looking good. I'm spending the rest of the time working on new stuff (Yay!). Whelp, I'm tired. I'm uploading where the game is. You can get further than before, and the placeholder is now gone, but it's still not the full prologue. Status Update

Quick thank you to everyone who has tested the game and reported issues. Everything reported has been fixed. I also found a number of events that were not firing because they got changed to be "under the player" for some reason (most were in the main mine area around the anvil, etc.). I must have copied an event incorrectly. In VX Ace, I'd used a script to reference prior events instead of recreating them multiple times, but that script is not available in MV that I could find.

Development Update

Hello everyone!

I'm excited to say the first MV release is fully playable through the prologue. It features new artwork, new music, updated maps, and events. There are a few placeholders and some scripts that are not finished, but it is releasable as-is. So, I can say with certainty there will be a release this month. I've updated the Trello page with the 14 tasks left to complete. The Trello page is something I really want to restart correctly for future releases. It's in kind of a half-done stage, but I figured it might be worthwhile to put together a quick list of what's on my plate.
