Past Mortem Suggestions

Howdy! Grace here. I've been the main writer/producer for Past Mortem for the last couple of months, and I’ve really appreciated the response from you guys on the series.

Since we got the Dark Souls/Miyazaki video out, I've been sitting around brainstorming topic ideas, and then it hit me: why don't I ask our lovely supporters what they would like to see covered? Give the people what they want!

So here goes: What topics would you guys like to see covered on Past Mort...

[SSFF] Past Mortem: The Rise of Dark Souls, FromSoftware, & Hidetaka Miyazaki

Hello Supporters!

Here is the next episode of Past Mortem, and it's a topic I was really excited about, the Souls games! We had a lot of fun researching for this video and I think a lot of people will be interested in learning about this subject. We were actually kinda shocked there weren't more videos on this topic.

Enjoy it exclusively for a couple days, it goes public on YouTube Tuesday morning!

And for those keeping score, we still have the Resident Evil Re:Certifie...

[SSFF] Drake of the 99 Dragons (Xbox), Is It Really That Bad?

We missed our monthly IIRTB last month but we couldn't miss our chance to show respect to the 6 God, aka Aubrey "Drake" Graham and play a terrible game that bears the same name. It's a really dumb reason so make a video which is why we had to do it!! We had a lot of fun with this one!

This'll go public Tuesday morning so enjoy it early!

Thank you for your support!

An early look at the Earth Defense Force video exclusively for our supporters! This is a free post because we're going to reupload an improved version on monday.

We shot and captured everything in 1080 for this video and I've been having trouble getting the quality high for youtube. Exporting can be such a headache! Your video is done but if the export isn't proper, it ruins the whole thing! And it looks good on export but not on upload. Bah!!

Just a heartfelt Thank You to our supporters

Hey everybody,

We say it in every video but it may sound like a rehearsed line at this point but I want to make it clear we really appreciate the support of every last one of you.

I'm sure you've seen the recent wave of content ID claims rampaging its way through youtube. I've been sort of lucky in that regard. I've had videos flagged and denied monetization but never had to deal with the threat of having my videos or channel deleted. It's maybe just pure luck, maybe it's becaus...

We're going to make IIRTB? a monthly show, so we need some feed back from you all! A sneak peak of our new show, Punching Weight

Hello Supporters!

We promised that 2016 would be a year of growth for SSFF, Grace and I have been hard at work on two new shows that will push us beyond the standard review. I'm currently editing one such show and it's called Punching Weight, a show that celebrates ambitious, weird, and unnecessary games that maybe aren't good but, goddammit, deserve respect!

The first episode highlights three Gameboy Color games, this edit is about 60% finished. A couple sections have been...

Starting off 2016 with a bang!

Hello supporters!

If all goes as planned, January will see two new shows debuting. One a more informative / documentary style and the other a spin on the review / showcase format. If these shows go well, look forward to a more diverse output from Grace and me.

But we're not abandoning the tried-and-true-standard-reviews, the Earth Defense Force 2025 / 4.1 review is in line for the end of the month. So we're busy with THREE new videos for January!

What would you like to see in 2016?

We know 2015 isn't over just yet, but Grace and I are already thinking about the future. We had a very challenging year, 2015 was all about the basic stuff, starting this patreon, establishing the Stop Skeletons From Fighting brand, developing the new look of the show, and developing production rhythm while still pumping out new material. (And on a personal level, it was also the year we moved to a new city and dealt with all the stress that comes with that.)

The next livestream game; Sweet Home?

After counting the tallies from the last post, people want another multipart, longplay of an 8-bit or 16-bit game. Vote: What Should Be Next For Stop Skeletons Live?

Over at the Stop Skeletons Live channel we have wrapped up Illbleed! We chose Illbleed for numerous reasons, for one I just *really* wanted to play it again. More importantly though, playing the same game week after week reduced the number of things that could go wrong and allowed us to lock down our streaming set up. Plus I'd never really done a multi-episode play through stream before, so that was a fun experience.

Now it's on to the next one! But what to do? How about we take it to...
