VE Discussions - Technology and Mindset

*PATREON IS HAVING AN ACTIVE ISSUE. SUPPORT SAYS FIX IS GOING LIVE TODAY. HOPEFULLY THAT RESOLVES IT.

Hello Patreon,

Tonight's discussion topic came from Michael's question in the comments.

If price was no object, what type of tech would you implement into CQB or defensive systems?

This is a solid question with almost infinite possibilities. Hopefully this discussion helps with identifying options and developing mindset. Remember, you're responsible for eve...

Body Armor Setup #1

Hello Tier II and Tier III,

Just finished up editing the first round of EDC bags and thought this would be a good tie in. Launching that soon.

This is one of the first videos we ever did on Patreon. In this video I cover one of my go-to body armor setups and the general philosophy of the gear placement.

For those of you who have seen this before, is there anything you've changed or added since seeing this?

Leave any comments or questions below.

CQB - Real Time Processing

In this video I cover real time processing applied to CQB. This is one of the hardest concepts to teach and hopefully this helps. Situational awareness will dictate what techniques to use.

A hallway is a visual way to demonstrate because the situation can change very quickly.

Please let me know if you have any questions in the comments below.

VE Discussions - CQB Stairwell Debrief

Hello Patreon,

In this VE Discussion we talk about the last few training sessions we filmed.

There are some hard truths in this one when it comes to possibilities of flying solo. This is not meant to discourage anyone from learning but is meant to acknowledge vulnerabilities. Next week's lesson (in editing now) will cover lots of the what if's and processing in a single man situation.

Let us know what you think in the comments. Thank you for supporting Vigilance Elite!...

CQB Staircase Lesson

Hello Tier II and Tier III,

This one is going to open up some "what if's".

This video started with stairwells but progressed quickly.

Staircases are one of the most complicated obstacles in CQB. Hopefully this helps answer some of the questions. Hopefully this video also helps get across how much of a disadvantage you are at in single man CQB.

Please let me know if you have any questions in the comments below.

VE Discussions - Hindsight 2020

In this VE Discussion Jon asked me about what I would do differently if I could go back and do 2020 over again. We cover some of what I'm thinking about looking forward and working on if/when prices and availability start to resemble normal.

The takeaway is get the mindset working moving forward to be better prepared for the next disaster and there's always a next disaster.

Zeroing a Red Dot with Your Irons

Hello Tier II and Tier III,

I hope all of you are well!

Here is a quick and dirty gopro video showing how to use your zeroed iron sights as a reference when zeroing a red dot optic. This is extremely useful when you have to change optics, re-zero optics, service optics, trade optics etc. Having this ability is one more big positive about having backup iron sights.

Home Defense - Opening Doors Family Protection

Hello Tier II and Tier III!

I hope all of you are having a great week so far.

This is probably the most requested topic that we get on our Tier III lives and messages.

The "link to me" concept will be helpful for those of you who are interested in building a family protection mindset. It is simple and effective. You will retain mobility without losing track of your loved one at the same time.

We'll do more on this to follow up.

Magnified Optics ACOG

Hello Tier II and Tier III,

We get lots of questions on rifle zeros and I hope this video helps answer some of those questions.

For this example we use the ACOG.

The important takeaway from this is to check the manual for your specific optic even different models of the same scope might need to be zeroed for different distances depending on the reticle.

Two Point Slings

Hello Tier II and Tier III,

I hope all of you are well and out of the cold!

How To Review A Pistol

Hello Tier II and Tier III,

I hope all of you are well!

Today's video is a longer one. We get lots of requests to review different guns on the regular, especially the latest and greatest. TBH, most of the newest guns coming out are reiterations of older models and most the time not much in the new department. Sometimes something awesome comes out that I end up liking and I usually share that with you when something new solves a need or is a legitimate upgrade (think when the origi...

Rounds Limited Pistol Training Session

Hello Tiers II and III,

I hope you are all well!

In this video I cover a training regiment that can be done with 50 rounds. The idea is something you can work on when the planets align in 2021, you get a box of ammo and some range time.

The philosophy behind this is to identify fundamentals that need work and then give you a few more shots to practice any issues that have been isolated.

Let me know what you guys think.
