February was much better for writing than January and I almost have my 30-day running average where I want it. Currently at 1800+ words/day, but I still want it above 2000.
Work's been about evenly divided between Warlock 3 and Grinder (I'm still leaning toward that name, despite the app -- maybe I'll lean into that a little and make fun of it).

I'm scrambling a little bit, trying to get some things done before the first of the year. The coming change for next year being fully self-employed comes with a lot more paperwork than I'd expected.
When I set up the Patreon, I wasn't expecting Warlock to be anywhere near as successful as it has been and I created the upper tiers thinking I'd have a lot more time and flexibility than things have wound up at.

Productivity this month has been good -- not great, but I think a drop around the holidays is to be expected.
Mostly I've been doing revisions and additions to Warlock 2 with some work on Warlock 3 -- and moving stuff back and forth as I try to figure out where to break between them.
Yesterday I did decide to move the Felicity Prologue to Book 3 instead of 2. I think it fits better there now, so...

Warlock 2 is coming along nicely. It's going to need another round of editing, though -- just editing, not the edit-and-revise cycle I've been going through. When it went to editing, it was 120,000 words (about 20k less than Book 1). Now it's 140,000 words and I still have several scenes to add. I got a couple what-abouts from my editor (wife) on things that I'd either not thought about or put in for color and wasn't going to follow up on. Over the last year I've begun using AI for critique and research in my writing. Never to create words, because it sucks at that, but for things like "Tell me all the witch related events between 1500 and 1900" or "Within the context of your knowledge [the book] what would the likely population distribution within the various witch factions be, given a total witch population of X and what birth rate would be necessary to sustain these numbers?"

A day early and not the next chapters, but the prologue.
I went round and round a bit in my head with this, debating whether to include it, include it as a prologue, epilogue, or even an inline interlude.
I think I'm going with prologue, and there will likely be some changes to this. I'm a little unhappy with the amount of exposition in the first scene, so may give some thought to that.

Here are the first preview chapters of Book 2 - about 14000 words, so 10% of the final book.
Please keep in mind that this is before I've done my final revision passes, so it's been proofread, but isn't final. I have an annoying tendency to say things three or four times over the course of a chapter and wind up having to revise most of the instances out. :)
Also, this says it starts with Chapter 2 -- I'm not hiding anything, it's just an artifact of my writing software. :)
