December Story Poll

Alright! Time to get next month's story poll rolling! There will also be another poll up within a couple of days regarding Stripper With a System and who Rylia summons first there. I want to get that sorted out so that I can poke at the story a bit. For now, though, the main monthly pool is afoot! My Hero Automata has, of course, lost it's boost since it just got updated. On the flip side, Why Was There No Truck?! has a +20% boost now, since it's gone the required two months...

Whew! Didn't quite make it on the 8th like usual, but I got close! In this case that was entirely the result of how long it had been since I worked on the fic, as well as some adjustments I decided to make. I needed to do a lot of double checking to make sure I was remembering bits and pieces right for the first part. As for the adjustments...

Halfway Broken 89 & 90

Right! First of the month means the first release of the month! Specifically, 5,800ish words of Halfway Broken!

In this release the crew returns to the Grand Line. One general note about that? How I'm intending to run the 'timeskip' years is a combination of four things. First, which we've already seen with the previous release, is training chapters. Important, but too many of them would get old quick. So, to break those up is the rest of the bits.

Alright! Bit late in the evening for me to get this out. On the other hand, the release is also closer to 16,000 words than 15,000, so I imagine no one will mind much that the editing took a bit longer :-). Whew! Wasn't entirely sure I was going to get this posted tonight. The editing pass seemed to want to drag on much longer than usual! Thankfully, I made it through, though I'll probably hold off on the public chapters until tomorrow.

Anyway, this set of chapters got pretty close to hitting 16,000 words, and I'm fairly pleased with it. There aren't any huge revelations or anything, but I think it does a solid job of getting back into covering the Crusade. As well as showing a few peeks ...

Halfway Broken 77-79

Whew! Caught up after the somewhat later Pokemon Adventure release! It did help that this month's Halfway Broken was split more evenly between the release on the first and this one, each of them being roughly 8,300 and 8,500 words respectively. That actually brings the total between them up well above the normal 15k target, but it was divided almost evenly between the releases this time, instead of the bulk being in the mid-month release.

I needed to do some brain storming as I'd expected them to spend longer in Viridian and my outline for Pewter was basically just 'Train for the Gym.'
