Alright! Time to get next month's story poll rolling! There will also be another poll up within a couple of days regarding Stripper With a System and who Rylia summons first there. I want to get that sorted out so that I can poke at the story a bit. For now, though, the main monthly pool is afoot! My Hero Automata has, of course, lost it's boost since it just got updated. On the flip side, Why Was There No Truck?! has a +20% boost now, since it's gone the required two months...

Whew! Didn't quite make it on the 8th like usual, but I got close! In this case that was entirely the result of how long it had been since I worked on the fic, as well as some adjustments I decided to make. I needed to do a lot of double checking to make sure I was remembering bits and pieces right for the first part. As for the adjustments...
Given that this fic struggled in the polls to get updated, despite being one of the oldest and longest running fics I write, I ...

Right! First of the month means the first release of the month! Specifically, 5,800ish words of Halfway Broken!
In this release the crew returns to the Grand Line. One general note about that? How I'm intending to run the 'timeskip' years is a combination of four things. First, which we've already seen with the previous release, is training chapters. Important, but too many of them would get old quick. So, to break those up is the rest of the bits.
The second bit is the repurposi...

Alright, everyone, polling finished at midnight last night (well, 11:59pm, technically). I just did the vote weighing math, so let's check the results:
----------------
My Hero Automata: 112 + 50% Boost = 168
A Very Confused Pokémon Adventure: 134 + 20% Boost = 160.8
Harry Potter: Pandora's Box: 85.5
Stripper with a System: 82.5
Why Was There No Truck?!: 54
----------------
Wow. That was both very close and an amazing ...

This is just a final reminder that the November Story Poll ends at 11:59 tonight! Make sure you get your votes in before then! This was such a short voting period, compared to normal months, that I don't want anyone to miss out! Doubly so, with the changes made to remove Eridium Dreams and add Stripper with a System :-).

Alright! Bit late in the evening for me to get this out. On the other hand, the release is also closer to 16,000 words than 15,000, so I imagine no one will mind much that the editing took a bit longer :-). Contained within are some more politics, reactions from the Jedi side to a f ew things, a bit of a side adventure, a lemon, a lesson in not trying to drink Wookiee alcohol if you're not a Wookiee, and a bit more kinky content even past the lemon ;-).
Admittedly, this release leaned ...

... I'm very tempted to have a comedic moment with the posted meme at some point in A Very Confused Pokemon Adventure. That said, this post is actually just to remind you to vote in November's Story Poll. I don't usually do reminders like this, but the poll duration was much shorter than usual and I don't want people missing out :-).

Alright guys, gals, Palworld pals, and others. The Mass Effect - Story Options Poll ended at midnight last night. The result was...telling. Stripper with a System won by a landslide (73% to 27%). Sadly, that means Eridium Dreams is now being removed from polling. This doesn't actually mean the story is 110% dead. It just means the only way it will get updates fo...

Whew! Bit close on this one! Doing the first release of Stripper with a System nearly made me late with this release! As a reminder, There is Currently a Poll Ongoing regarding Eridium Dreams and Stripper with a System. Make sure to vote on it if you care about either story!
With that reminder given, time to talk about this release of Halfway Broken! These...

Alright guys, gals, apache helicopters, and others! I know it's only been a bit over two days since I posted Stripper with a System, but I sort of need to get this poll up and running so that it can get results in time for me to run the major monthly poll for next month's story. This particular poll will run only for five days, ending on the 18th, so that the November Story Poll has a full w...

Alright folks! This is why I haven't put up the monthly poll yet. This was close to the state I wanted it to be in for a first release, and there's at least a chance (depending on if you guys, gals and others like it) that it may replace Eridium Dreams. As you might guess from that, it's a Mass Effect fic like Eridium Dreams is. Hence putting off the poll until I could put this out and see if it might be well liked. Eridium Dreams had done poorly, for a super long time in the polls, ...

Update - Realized while doing author's notes that there were two chapters 27s. Should be fixed now.
Whew! Cut this one a bit close. Though, in part, that's because I've also been extending and polishing that Mass Effect concept I mentioned a bit. Anyway, fair warning the editing on this batch might be a bit rougher than usual, I was pretty out of it finishing it up. That said, it's within a couple hundred words of the 15k mark I shoot for, and I'm fairly happy...

Alright! Time for the first release of the month! We've gone some relatively low-key happenings in the East Blue, including another lemon featuring Luffy X Robin X Nami, as well as just a few hints about the direction things are headed. A solid 5,600 words, so roughly typical for a first of the month release :-). The images, by-the-by, are AI generations that were loosely suitable for one of the chapters. Also included in PDF form is a new set of Stat Blocks for the crew, post Marineford/Shik...

Edit Chapter numbering was initially screwed up, now fixed!
Whew! Sorry about this being slightly later than usual, folks. I was actually done with the writing on time, but came down with a nasty stomach bug of some sort out of the blue yesterday. It was a most unpleasant day as a result, with me only getting editing done in vague fits and starts.
Anyway, it's done now, and I'm fairly pleased with the results. Be warned that as of this set of chapters we're entering into ...

Alright folks, this one is a bit shorter than it should have been. Why? Because for some reason the whole thing fought me like an angry hippopotamus that devoured it's body weight from a poacher's cocaine stash. I'm seriously not sure I've ever had one of my story arcs fight me as much as this one did, to the point that I entirely scrapped some of my original plans for it. The Shiki fight, in particular, I ended up skipping a lot of. To compensate, I decided to give short snapshots o...

Alright! With the latest release of Why Was There No Truck?! now having been out for a couple of days, it's time to get on with next month's poll! Why Was There No Truck?! has, of course, lost it's boost as a result of winning.
On the subject of boosts, though, I've decided to cut back the increases in boost per month to only 10%, with initial boosts after two months of no updates only being 20%. These were actually the originally numbers that the boost syste...

*Edit* Bit of an oops, I mis-counted the chapters somehow. It's been fixed now.
Alright! Time for the new release of 'Why Was There No Truck?!'. I'm pleased, if still a little surprised, to see how many people like this crazy Amalgam-verse! This time, we see the opening bits for the formation of Alyssa's team. You can guess who's involved by the art, I suppose ;-). Note that the team will grow in time, these are just her first steps! Alright! First of the month, means first fic release of the month! Chapters 80 & 81 of Halfway Broken bring just shy of another 5,500 words to the fic, and push certain things forward. Both on the relationship front with Robin, and on showing off what the next arc is going to be. Said arc isn't going to be a terribly long one. It might finish this month, or might extend into the first release of next month, but it's unlikely to carry longer than that. After that...

Whew! Wasn't entirely sure I was going to get this posted tonight. The editing pass seemed to want to drag on much longer than usual! Thankfully, I made it through, though I'll probably hold off on the public chapters until tomorrow.
Anyway, this set of chapters got pretty close to hitting 16,000 words, and I'm fairly pleased with it. There aren't any huge revelations or anything, but I think it does a solid job of getting back into covering the Crusade. As well as showing a few peeks ...

Whew! Caught up after the somewhat later Pokemon Adventure release! It did help that this month's Halfway Broken was split more evenly between the release on the first and this one, each of them being roughly 8,300 and 8,500 words respectively. That actually brings the total between them up well above the normal 15k target, but it was divided almost evenly between the releases this time, instead of the bulk being in the mid-month release.
Anyway! I've been dying a little inside to relea...

Whew! Finally got this done! Sorry again about it being later than usual, folks. I needed to do some brain storming as I'd expected them to spend longer in Viridian and my outline for Pewter was basically just 'Train for the Gym.' Which would have been totally okay, if it was only 5,000 words or so. But when it turned out that the Pewter section was more like 10,000 words, I needed to break up the training with something else so that it didn't become a slog. I'm happy with what I came up with...

Hey everyone! Nothing too much too worry about, despite the title of the post. I just wanted to drop a note letting everyone know the release of A Very Confused Pokémon Adventure will likely be a day or two later than usual. Oh, dear sweat glorious pancakes, am I seriously glad you guys and gals chose the option to have the Strawhats watch the events of Marineford. Even just having them view the battle itself, with fewer interjections than I originally intended at that, took nearly 6,000 words! If we'd gone with the other method, just the battle would have chewed through the entire month's 15,000 words.
