Before the process photos of HD2+ reward this month being posted, I want to introduce my inking brushes so far. You can download the brush file from attachment.
I have been consistently changing some minor settings, like stabilizer, size, opacity, etc.. No need to strictly stick to those default settings. And my smallest working resolution is 300+ dpi so you need to avoid using them in a low-resolution environment.

Sorry for no post for weeks! After the previous post, I had been solving new problems with drawings for weeks. I'll talk more about the problem-solving process in the next post.
One conclusion to the solutions is that I need some drawing exercise for the skill that can be applied to more practical use. Like, drawing scenes, background, different camera angles, human behaviors...etc.. After some attempts, I decided to just go straight to draw...uh, Dane/Credo sex scenes. *cough*...

I'm testing a new method to find forms. Seemingly it's more easier to maintain control of forms on a higher res & bigger display. But it also leaves some new obstacles for me to get used to.
Here's one example of recent tests:

I was testing a brush pack out of a random doodle. It seems easier to find the ideal value range when using bigger and flat brushes, and just see the object as some basic cylinder/sphere. But it's very hard to control forms and foresee what I'm going to design while using them to paint.

I made the left one first, later the forms were kinda messed up because I was too busy to deal with the values. Then I made the second one out of the same sketch and just trying to paint in a more none-destructive method. And then...then my new cintiq arrives and I haven't had the opportunity to proceed further.

Last week I got a phone call from Wacom's dealer in Taiwan, and they said this device (cintiq pro 24") I've waited forever is finally ready for purchase in my country.

Title is the new lesson I learned. Getting stuck at this messy stage, and I can only call it a...a sketch. It should be easier if I just re-draw a more defined sketch and repaint from start. But this method might be good for doing sketches of bigger project including strong light source and complex forms (so at least I can have a better idea to design the light and composition). I'm currently doing another practice, and trying to get more control on the value range. (Will post them soon)
