Thank you to everyone who gave us feedback on last week's reactions concerning syncing and lag issues. From everything I have read here as well as my own research, I believe the issue is unfortunately due to frame rate. Our camera & microphone equipment as well as the show footage on the blu-ray are at 23.98 fps, while streaming services tend to be true 24 fps. This causes a "drift" of 3.6 seconds after one hour of real time.

The votes have been distributed and The Hunt for Red October was able to garner enough 2nd-5th place votes (yes 5th place votes were needed) to secure the majority! It came all the way down to 3 movies! The runner ups were Contact and True Lies but ultimately neither came very close. YouTube reaction to Battlestar Galactica The Miniseries is premiering on YouTube in 1 hour (8pm eastern). We’ve personally been excited for this video because it should be a good test of reaction viability outside of Star Trek for the channel.

SATURDAY’S YOUTUBE VIDEO - All reaction videos from TOS Season 1 in one video
This video was of course hit with multiple claims from CBS, all of which I’ve disputed. Monetization wasn’t the goal for this, so the video not being blocked is good enough for me.
Plan is to eventually make these for every Star Trek season as an easier way to binge watch and also to catch up newer viewers as well as hopefully bring in some new ones.

Can't seem to escape the technical issues lately. A couple chunks of this video's footage was corrupted, so those periods are a picture over the audio. Luckily, we recently started recording our audio separately from the video file. What isn't so lucky; we started charging the mics while recording the discussions so they wouldn't die, and that apparently causes a minor buzzing in the audio. SORRY!
How will we handle this for the YouTube version? No idea! Isn't creating content fun!?
